    Hi folkies, I could do with some help from someone who already has and uses a .243, somewhere near north bucks if possible. I'm putting in for my variation for .243 for fox and deer and I think it would be both useful from a knowledge and experience point of view and of course to impress the feo that I've looked into it properly. Naturally I'd pay for any ammo used if the opportunity arises to fire a few rounds. Happy to do any favours in return, other than sexual (before any of you reprobates start up), unless you're a fit bird of course

    Thanks mate. I'm not entirely sold on the looks - I'm a bit of a traditionalist with my rifles. Good to read your opinion I could do with finding someone near north bucks has uses a .243 for a chat and even perchance a shot or two somewhere.....I feel a cheeky new thread coming on!

    Same as the rest of us I'm afraid - tap doors, ask around in your circle of acquaintances, be nice and polite and sweet-talk the farmers daughter, just don't count on anyone from a hunting site looking to give away permissions they have acquired thru hard work themselves. THis isn't farmers weekly.

    A friend of mine uses a parker hale airgun silencer on his Crap Zebal .22rf and it works just fine. Should be ok with subs, but as already said, a sako or scirroco mod for a rimmie is less than 40 quid.

    on some of my permissions, if I don't cull rabbits and foxes, they'll just find someone else to do it. So if I have to, I do it. But I do prefer to leave them if I can til autumn.
