    Full choke makes these things kick more and I think your suspicions about your friends intent are correct. Try 28g loads instead and go for plastic wads rather than fibre if you can - they tend to kick less. Ideally, change the gun to something a bit better (almost anything lol)

    Myxoma virus is an introduced disease from south america. Funnily enough it is only a minor ailment to the cottontails over there. Interestingly, I've never opened up a juvenile rabbit that didn't have spots on it's liver- I always assumed it was a developmental thing rather than pathogenic.

    Really appreciate all the replies guys, thanks! I've heard that they either work a treat or scare them off, but I can always bring it in if the latter is happening. As always getting under a decent flight line is always going to be the first priority. I've already paid for the kit and its in the post, so a bit late to cancel it - will have to give it a go

    I've seen a lot of mottled livers from myxy'd bunnies. The young bunnies all seemed to have mottled livers though.

    For me it's a few hundred yards, up to 6 miles with the odd shoot up to 50 miles away. Will be travelling up to Scotland for roe and red though.
