    My pup is coming up on 5 month but is only about 18 /12 inch to the shoulder. It's been about 10 year since I brought my last lurcher pup on and can't remember her height at this age. Anyone got an idea how much she should make in the next 5 month?

    I didn't mate I had to give her to my cousin as we had some personal family problems that thankfully are better. She has made a nice wee size tho and is quite fiery lol.

    Was speaking to the vet tonight and she was telling me something similar. Because I jagged my pup at 8 and 10 weeks she said that I should at least do the 1st year booster incase the mothers antibodies hadn't worn off before her jags. She said the now recommendation after doing tests is 10 and 12 weeks.

    Cheers guys. Yeah she's only 4 months so she's got plenty of time. Iv always started basic retrieving from early but it might be different with this one

    Recall is is spot on mate. It's when I give her the recall she returns without the dummy tho.

    Can anyone give me some retrieving tips. I'm exciting the pup with dummy and then throwing it. Problem is tho she is just running up to it, sniffing it then running back to me without it. I tried it with the string attached and getting her to mouth it but it's not really helping. Anyone had a similar problem and how did you overcome it? Thanks

    There all different, I usually start mine at 8 months on rabbits. Depends on the cross and individual dog at the end of the day

    I enjoyed reading that. That should be put to the House of Commons to show them were not all bloody thirsty thugs who enjoy watching dogs tear animals to bits.

    Better off asking who fancys a night out on your permission in return for a night on there's. Meet new people, have a good night and see other peoples dogs run. Doesn't need to be a compition.

    Fingers crossed. I will try my best to hold her off till next sept if I go to Ireland to run her on fox legally.

    I start all mine on fox at 9 month as long as they're keen for it. I only have 5 running dogs left in my yard out of maybe 20 or more in 9 years. The dogs that stick to it after starting at that age to me seem to be the type that do fox after fox without thinking twice and that's the type of dog I want.What cross are you running? What percentage do you find do stick to it after started at that age mate?

    What was the youngest there dog took to fox before the ban? I know some people enter there's very early but before you know it theyv had enough after a few and call it a day at say 14 mnth. Did anyone manage to enter there's early at 9 or 10 mnth for example, but most important did they stick at it and turn out single handed dogs throughout there career?

    yesHere's my pup 14 weeks old.The mother was a bitch from the red x cass litter and then put to the bull x sire from pie lines Cannot wait to get her up and running as she defanatly has the breeding!
