Is it possible to train a Lab for dogging in and for the beating line as well? Shes 11 months old and picks up. Just wondering if I can use her for beating as well.

Hi my name is Rob, I'm 18 years old and I'm looking for a work Placement anywhere in the country. I'm studying level 3 game keeping at Sparsholt College. The dates are 8th June through to the end of term. But I am willing to work for free during the summer. Overall I just would like to learn. The only thing I'm asking for is Board and Lodging. If everything goes right I should have my Driving License, Shotgun Certificate and Dsc1. Thanks for taking the time to read. Rob. Pm me if you need or want to know anything else.

Went down to one of my permission further out. I haven't visited it in the last year, to find a moving black wave effect across the field. Small horse paddock over run with these critters. So set the gun up, bipod down and in a corner of the field and they poured out one after another. I think im going to be having to go back up there more often. ATB RatSniper

Get the most realistic decoys you can get, we use these off ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12-PIGEON-DECOY-SHELL-HIGH-DEFINITION-DECOYING-SHOOTING-STICK-PEG-FREE-POSTAGE-/200680433388?pt=UK_SportingGoods_Hunting_ShootingSports_ET&hash=item2eb97c66ec. We have been shooting pigeons over the summer on a orchard we have shot hundreds. Im no expect in decoys but have had success with it. But the basic rules are Always face upwind, You need some sort of food around which they come to feed otherwise they wont land and if they do they will soon relies they have been fooled and fly off.

Air rifles poo without a range finder
RatSniper replied to GEOFF.223's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I have never used a laser range finder when im hunting. My father taught me to use my eyes learn my range. I spent time learning with string guessing the range. I use to set up a 50 meter target and shoot in between the distance out to 50. I zeroed the s410 for 30 yards and have never looked back. To me a laser ranger finder is useless in my eyes for air rifles. Dont get me wrong there a great tool for fullbore rifles but to me there is no need for it when using a air rifle. Ive happily killed to roughly just short of 60 yards with out laser range finder. But each to their own. Regards -

Well after the weather has been bad for a few days decided to pop down to a local permission in the New Forest. Was on the permission for just under two hours and produced this bag 10 in total. All shot between 25-30 Yards away. All single head shots. This is a another permission within dorset and we do Pigeon control on the orchard, both were neck shots at 30ish yards. Now to a permission in devon this permission belongs to some good friends of ours and every now and then we do some shooting on it. Stalked them, From left to right, First two were stalked to 25 yards, th

I know this is a bit late but I haven't had time to post Im one of those members who just read the posts and very rarely posts myself, but I will try my best. On Tuesday early afternoon, my father and I made the journey to are permission 2 hours away, Its a long drive but the freedom we are given on the farm is worth it, Its only about 300 acres. The family that run the farm, both run the farm with its live stock and general day to day jobs. They make the best sausages known to man, or more pork wrappings . The farm its self is situated on a south facing hill with a woodland around
