  1. well the show is this sunday so the plan is to go to the show and see what is up there and if I return empty handed then I will give this john orr a ring and see what its going to cost Ill keep you posted
  2. some pics would be good and make model condition
  3. you might want to double check that one mate I've used both and find the kick less pronounced on a 12 than on a 20. Probably because 12's tend to be a tad heavier. yeah sorry I was a bit quick off te blocks there what I meant is that the 12b cart kicks more but obviously if you are using a heavy gun or a semi it would feel less then a side by side 20 or something
  4. it could be that the32s are a faster cart and so you are shooting in front
  5. you might want to double check that one mate
  6. I dont really have a specific dealer in mind, the plan was just to keep an eye out for any stands selling nets and to see if i could pick one up
  7. I think you mean cycling recycling happens in the bin it says on the box that they should work up to 56grm carts just like ultras i recon if you get a good one you love it and if you get a bad one your scarred for life
  8. i got 4/5 with a 3" 410 once good shooting tho nothing better then when you have those kind of days
  9. as you know Im new to this but what difference woiuld that make the only reason i said 6oz in the first place was because that was the one that I used before
  10. Hi everyone Im planning on getting a drop net at the Stow gamefair that is near me I've had a little experience using one a few months ago, but didnt have much luck thinking back trying to net around a corner might have been overcomplecating things but im going to give it a proper go. decided on a drop net as opposed to a long net because this would be more about getting as many rabbits as possible and I think this would be more achievable without having to try and creep past the rabbits without them bolting. I was planning on getting something like a 100yd 6oz net. Would this be suitabl
  11. friend of mine had this problem and sent it back to the edgar bros and they changed the hammer sping or something and after that it worked a dream and he says its the best gun hes ever had sorry to disturb the rant...
  12. you really need to brush up on some clays before you try and shoot live game mate get yourself a lesson just to give you a scope on it when I shoot pigeon or crows or any other live game I aim for a 2:1 cart to kill rate and it normally falls between that and 3:1 I Know that you are new to shotguns but you really need to get better and its only a matter of a fifty clay lesson and you already will be shooting fairly well-that is assuming your gun fits
  13. out of interest were you still going for headshots with that or where shots to the heart/lung/shoulder area more acceptable? just asking so if its a question that breaks every airgun code of practice please dont come down on me like a ton of bricks ratty
  14. it really depends on you mate I use 28g 6 shot for my decoying but others like 30-32g carts atm im useing rc2s plastic wads and they work fine for me and are capable of killing cleanly out to 30-40 yards having said that the barrel was fixed on full choke at the time so had a considerably tighter pattern then normal
  15. it should say on your cert mate
  16. when you take them off the squirrel just cut the skin around the base of the tail taking care not to damage the bone you should then be able to slide the skin of the tail off the bone, then whack it in some meths for a couple of weeks making sure you get it inside the tail as well as the rest of it. after that take it out and wash it with a bit of wash and go or something Job done atb Ratty
  17. pics help too what moderater u got on there and what scopes?
  18. hoping to get into fac in the next couple of years and .17hmr will probably be the plan but why do you say about reloading just cost saveing? cheers ratty
  19. I wouldnt do that mate cos yes they will add movement to the pattern but as soon as you get them in the mood for feeding and get a few dead birds out there they will come in no problem but at this time of year take advantage of them coming in in 1s and 2s cos if you let say 6 feed in your pattern and you shoot say 2 on a good day, those other 4 aint coming back. as bullshot said, keep it simple, at the moment Im not even making a proper pattern especially not if theres not much wind, just stick a few down in and area of about fifteen yards square and make sure they have space between them put
  20. Um a bit more detail mught help mate,Im guessing its 12b?
