  1. Evening all Ive had a single barreled Yildiz 410 since Feb now and recently I have started having problems with spent cartridges getting stuck in the chamber despite me cleaning it regularly. so I emailed Yildiz and the reply was "As I understand your e-mail, it seems that your chamber is not clean, please take your gun to a gun smith that you know well and tell him to clean the chamber by using very very thin sandpaper and please tell him to be very gentle and careful while he is doing this. " I know that they know best because they made the gun and all that, but was just wondering if anyo
  2. If you have a criminal record as long as your arm with violence and disorder running through it then it's unlikely you will be trusted with a fire arm and rightly so in my opinion. If however you have a couple of cautions for something daft you did as a lad 10 years ago you will be fine. At the end of the day it's down to your FAO to make that decision, with the best will in the world we can only guess what the outcome would be, get in touch with your local firearms officer and take it from there.. well said
  3. it normally depends on the nature of the conviction if its to do with violence then youll have problems also how long ago also you are banned for life on SGC (not sure about FAC but id guess its the same) if you get a sentence of 3 yrs + atb ratty
  4. still a bit of sport though, better then my luck recently well done atb ratty
  5. I would use a smaller shot size 7.5 is a good all rounder, but if your doing skeet or something close then you could afford to drop it down to an 8 although some even use 9s. I personally use 1/2 choke in my semi because I also use that on the woodies so it's nice and consistent. It also takes a bit of the pressure off for the longer clays. In vtime you will find the setup that works best for you happy shooting atb ratty

  12. anyone had any experiance with KPS nets by any chance? atb ratty
  13. pest control was the main reason for getting into netting but surely it would be better to get used to putting out a drop net first where you could see what your doing in the daytime and get the hang of using one but still get a return unlike if you tryed dry setting a longnet for practice as for possibly spooking the rabbits as the net falls it is almost silent as it drops and my area is dominated by arable fields where all the warrens are in the hewdgeline and so there isnt anywhere else for them to go. perhaps a traditional long net will follow once i have the hang of it but need to prove
  14. surely a drop system has a better chance for a large bag as you dont risk spooking the rabbits as you set up

  18. Ive had a look at the "make a longnet" post which was very helpful and if worst comes to worst I could do something similar but use some leaded cord (anyone know where you could buy it?) and only attach the top of the net to the pole. it could be dropped buy threading braided nylon through the net top and bottom to hold it up and then simply pull the nylon out when you drop it most of you probs know that one already but that was what was in mind
