    Had my nephew up for a weekend... and gave him a small catapult i made... Taught him how to aim it etc... and he was chuffed.... Now, mad lad is 3 and can confidently hold and shoot a catapult.... Aim is a little (a lot) off.... but he loves it... A family member wasnt too happy at my lad shooting them.... "Theyre dangerous' etc.... But i feel... that by teaching the wee man the rights and wrongs.... giving him the freedom to shoot and showing him how to shoot them...safely.... Means that in a few years.... hes not going to sneak one behind my back and put someones

    I know one of lads who I go out with struggles with dogs too, it is crazy how they would prefer guns to dogs on land I find it perculiar too.... But the hype and focus being on poaching by the likes of the ARSEpca....doesnt seem to look at rifle owners.....you only ever see dogs.... And joe public.... who hasnt got his own mind... Is easily led...and manipulated.... like sheep....

    happens both ways as well mate I know of two that dont like/allow guns only dogs.. but on the whole your right. better just go for the ferreting and work up from there once trust is built Ferreting....if your going to get permission....ferreting...is the way your going to get it... Harmless...quiet....fun to watch etc.... from a landowners point of view.... a kids sport ... Once ferreting...introduce dog.... then go from there...

    I made up some of them.... posted them through doors.... rang a LOAD of farms.... knocked on doors.... They all seem interested.... until you mention dogs..... All too happy to let some numpty....whos just bought an air rifle out of the local fishing shop...loose on their land..... But frown upon...any decent dog lads.... who work hard...week in-week out...all year round...to keep their dogs going.... There are the ones....who find it fascinating....but theres 10 times more.... whod rather the rabbits eat away their living...than let you on.... EDITED: just realised this i

The black dog.... has a total disregard....for her safety..... shes fookin MENTAL.... And after cassies accident.... she has my heart in my mouth....     I didnt make this sheet..... But it is super easy to make.... dont kniw what yous sre doing wrong.... Cut into 1/2cm squares.... Put into a metal bowl....old dog bowl would work.... Put into oven for 60 mins.... 190degrees.... Pry it out.... into square mould.... Clamp for an hour.... then take out.... And sit on the side until cool..... EASY PEASY... Save offcuts from sawing.... to re-melt....
