  1. hes had enough of santa now. hes seen him loads at nursery, kids clubs etc. hes only wanting the presents the little sod!
  2. On a serious note. My whippet is my pride and joy. I absolutley adore the wee dog. But being honest for a tough, durable dog for flatout work, nobody can deny a lurcher is the best option. My lurcher is far faster than my whippet. But im sure i wont go long without a whippet in my life. I dont know if its just my whippet but the companionship and loyalty is phenominal. I personally wouldnt be the same without the wee dog. I agree,, and lucy is a wee sweetie as well. Like I say, enjoy watching them work, but the big collie x is the business in my book just you wait
  3. might be useful if the world floods on friday. just need one of these, a chemical suit and a firefighters suit and your laughing
  4. who needs rudolph wonder how many santa would need to pull his sleigh
  5. if you have the samsung s3 i woukd definitley go for the tab2. you can link them both together, sync and s beam photos by just putting them back to back.

  7. Had the wee man out today with the dogs. Didnt take and pictures of the hounds but caught my lad in this picture trying to poke me with the stick he was terrorising the dogs with Thought it was a nice picture to share.
  8. The difference between a whippet and a lurcher
  9. you were bloody lucky there pal!!!!!! i know it. one of them 'thank f**k' moments. was shaking and remember carrying the whippet home after she broke her leg and felt fecking grateful that it was ok
  10. you wont have any problems with them buddy.
  11. my whippet yaps. rabbits still bolt. she still catches. even lamping it doesnt really affect the night. only downside is we have to make sure we are on permission. what you want to be more concerned about is the fcuking dogs that stand at an entrance with their faces down the burrow, not if the dog lets out a little yap while its chasing. my dogs lucky she can even run and im grateful that she can. so a bit of yapping or even backflipping for that matter i can happily put up with.
  12. just look on youtube and do it yourself the vets i recommended is about 45/50mins from glasgow. its about 35 mins from me. IMO its worth travelling for a good vets whos trusted than getting a shiite one on your doorstep.
  13. same happened to my lab on a 5 bar gate. managed to get to her quickly and take her body weight before she was hanging for any length of time. lucky shes heavy set tbh. if that would have been the whippet or the lurcher for that matter it would have been snapped in 2.
  14. a big thanks to nige for emailing me the original photo of my dog free of charge. will get it printed off tomorrow and hung up. its much appreciated. have a nice christmas buddy
  15. is that my ferrets in the first hutch? when you watched them when i was on holiday?
  16. glad you had a good night. were just waiting for 1 good night before christmas and then get out. weather hasnt been good round here. either no wind, frozen, soaking or a full moon.
  17. looks smart mate. similar design to a terrier box. i cant understand how some of yous use trolleys. i couldnt get round most land with a carp trolley to pull about. plus you cant go poaching with a carp trolley and the bigger the trolley, the more kit i would load it up wit. then it would become a burden. and the i know IF i had a trolley then id be the one sat on it
  18. ive looked at that thread loads of times and hadnt even noticed that. i see what you mean. pictures paint a thousand words.
  19. Spot on. It takes two rows to make a mesh. Think of it like this when making a purse net and you make your first row on a ring you have half a mesh, it is only when you make the second row do you have a full mesh. He needs to count the meshes to know how much net he has, but as he seems to be having trouble counting to 15 I think he should give that a miss. TC i keep counting to 10 then run out of fingers. by the time ive took my socks and shoes off ive forgot what number i was on.
  20. it could have huge meshes im 6' 2 and the net is from the floor upto my armpit. sound about right? cut some slack ffs trying to make one myself and mr '70 rabbits a night' tomo's on the witch hunt
  21. just had another look and laid the netting out. 17 meshes
  22. what ye talking about tomo? i ordered the net before you recommended advanced netting. i looked on advanced nettings websitr and seen nothing about 'rabbit nets' so went with the safe option and ordered netting from brinded. ive counted each mesh not each knot. its 30 meshes.
  23. cheers for the help 'dont cut it! its fine.....dont listen to me-cut the fcuker' ordered it from brinded nets.
  24. quick trip to the garage. its 30 meshes buddy. give or take 1 or 2 (speed counting)
