  1. any of you rate this app? tried it with my catapult but gave unrealistically high results....600fps etc. been told you need to use 2 pieces of paper with the catty as it goes on noise and a catty doesnt have much. have to use it outdoors too? with a fatty i mean? and what about my rifle. can i use the chrony app with it in the garage? or does it need to be outdoors too? im mainly using catapults but i know most of you guys know you way round a chrony and no doubt know this app? its called chrony connect. thanks
  2. WITH AN 8FT SNOWMAN IN THE BACKGROUND.
  3. Next doors young girl has been pestering me in the garage everytime im making a catty/ shooting etc asking me to make her one. So finally made a little natural for her with some pink asda bands. (With parents permission ofcourse). She was well chuffed i had made her one. Let hope she doesnt leather the lads at school with it
  4. Heres the thicker one on the left of the first pictures. Finger and thumb grooves with hand grooves on the back. Took it out today when i was walking the dogs with a file and some sandpaper and done some work. It just needed the band groives which are in now and its being treated with teak oil. It looks great. Still not sure what wood it is though? Will stick up the finished fork once its complete and banded
  5. I posted some pics in the photography section. My old man was stuck on the m6 last night until 8am today! Snows melting thank god. I can take the whippets snow boots and neck warmer off!
  6. double theraband gold. not sure on the fps. they range from 250 to 500 fps depending on set up.
  7. snowing like fuk up here. went out and cleared the yard for the dogs to shiit and by the time id got round the side it was covered again. gritted the front though and the drive. golf course is a nice scene in the snow, with all the kids on the sledges. thing that pisses me off, is all the shiit buried in the snow. next doors cats been dumping on my drive and only notice it when im clearing the snow and its smeared all over my spade
  8. GET OF YER KNEES! the dog tracks give it away.
  9. Finished tonight and banded up. The darker one is such a nice catty and the grain looks unreal! But its slightly too thick for my hands so the lighter colour is much more comfortable for me to shoot. Very pleased with these.
  10. market stalls usually have loads of them. dpm kids stuff for buttons.
  11. i wear the same. whoever bought it wont be dissapointed.
  12. I would think the muzzle is there to stop the dog killing cats etc as 'these types of dogs chase and kill anything and everything'. She probably took a leaf out the rspca's book and thinks shes got a top pedigree racing saluki x greyhound. The lurcherworld is full of numptys but the PET lurcherworld is worse!
  13. It wont effect the band longevity bud. It just keeps the band in the centre of the forks for more accuracy. Or its supposed to. What may help with band longevity is extra rounding on the front of the forks to keep the bands under minimal strain there as in the pics above
  14. Another wild gumtree ad. 15. You can buy dog bowls with a raised center so the dog cant hoover the food up and it has to eat round the bowl. Also marshman, i dont understand why you would need him pts if he passes out sometimes when he eats? If it is a serious medical condition which is affecting him then i can see why. But if its just simply 'he passes out when eating because hes a greedy git' then i cant see a problem aslong as hes working fine? I See you have said 'if it is more serious' then you will have him pts. So you will be thinking along the same lines as me Lets hope its not more serious
  16. I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE LAST OF THE SNOW....BUT ITS A FCUKING BLIZZARD NOW! FFS!!!

  17. When using tubes? Surely they benefit the flatbands more than tubes unless you really filed the grooves in super deep to let the tubes sit in them?
  18. Anybody rate the scolloped fork tips. Seen them before and decided to give them a go. I havent attached bands yet but at this stage i can see they do what they are supposed to do....keep the band running true on the middle of the fork tip. Also i round the front of the fork tips extra so the forks have less of an edge to them where the band will be running. I make sure they are smooth with no sharp edges. Does anybody do similar? THE FRONT EDGE OF THE FORKS WHERE I ROUND THEM EXTRA TO PRESERVE THE BANDS. PROBABLY NOT NEEDED BUT GIVES ME PEACE OF MIND Filed
  19. Bit of work on them today. One is finished and ones just needing the band grooves fitted. Just being treated then will have the bands fitted. A nice little catapult. Basic tools as always. I could do great things with a dremmel y
  20. Thought this was going to be about an 18 month old dog with a knob and a fanny. Nice dogs anyway
