  5. Car bonnet is the quickest by far but feck me if it goes wrong its taking yer arm with it! Seen the lads yesterday with rubber rings, body boards and some posh cnut skiing One lad had a scooter with the wheels and front forks took off and screwed onto a skateboard less the wheels and axles. Very ingenuitive if you ask me.
  6. just the angle of the photo maybe? Couldnt tell you if it was 100% straight like, i didnt have the sprit level. Just put it in and took the shot. Could be a few cm either way tbh Could have snapped the ruler in half? Or used a tape measure and bent the first 9" over. Nope. Theres around 10" in the back yard. Less on the fron because the kids keep using it for snow balls and next doors cats digging over their shite!

  12. Have ye seen them yamaha snow trikes? 3 skis snd they have a break and can steer with them. Costco just reduced them from to 40 up here.
  13. Dont get me wrong i like a nice natural. I personally dont like shooting with them but like them all the same. An MDF cut catty is quicker than a natural. Take into account drying and sanding....half an hour/40 minutes? (If using a microwave). Draw your design on the wood as many tines as you want and just rattle through them with the jigsaw. File the edges and whipe a bit of sandpaper over the edges. About 20 mins each Im not saying these are better or cheaper than a natural....im just saying that the multiplex laminated ply usnt the be all and end all of board cuts.
  14. just seen this. It seems its only on android. Samsung galaxy, tabs, nexus etc. Just adjust the settings to suit your ammo, range to target and distance you are from the device. I just done a quick run with it an got this Now i think my setting are off somewhere as this seems a little high for what i was shooting but yiu get the idea. The app is called 'chrono connect'
  15. And on the bottom of your post is an advert for MUSLIMA.COM------muslim matrimonials anybody else see that? Edited to add. It changed before i got a screenshot....but not by much...how ironic on your post
  16. Fork hit last night mickey and it fine. I know MDF isnt ideal....bit for a first timer with basic tools its easily workable. And like i said, you can knock up 10 in no time and if you have to chuck it its only a few quid...... Or if it splits youve lost about 6p and re- use the bandset
  17. Milbro do hundreds of designs in all sorts of metals. You can send your wooden catapults in to be cast in aluminium/ brass etc for about 70 quid. Heres the pocket poacher with a hares head. Costs 38 quid. Its a similar shape the the cattys i have just made out od MDF. Visit their website....milbroproshot.co.uk I like wood but if you want one that will last forever and not deteriorate then its well worth the money
  18. I suspected that. Milbros are around the 30 quid mark bud. I dont like the limited attachment of these designs of catapult. It woukd be good if it had a flat head to take flatbands. You could obviously use some cord through the holes but over the top is preferred. Thats why i only like the milbro pocket poacher. That is a work of art though and a really nice intricate piece Do use them? Target or hunting/game shooting? Or are they display pieces?
  19. Details? And how much they going for? Just curioud thats all compared to milbro.
  20. doesnt look like milbro....could be wrong though
  21. in barry & quentin's (B&Q ) and seen some MDF offcuts for 50p. Cut a couple of cattys out a d filed and sanded them to shape. Treated one with yacht varnish (crap), one with teak oil (crap) and the other 2 sprayed black. The 2 black ones are nice to use and the double banded one is my most powerful easily. I have read good things about mdf and bad ones too. Obviously your multiply and naturals would be much better but for 50p ye cant argue. I found MDF super easy to work with. Cuts and files easy and sanding is effortless. I made a couple. The treatments loo
  22. do you make them? quality whoever makes them.
