    When I was in junior school I did a talk on me and my grandad.He was the best poacher in Wiltshire at the time,and he took me out with him trapping-snaring/shooting/ferreting/fishing and bird nesting(not taking eggs,but showing me what was what).My Nan and Grandad brought me up for a while when times were hard,and my Nan used to send me out with a hammer and some 6" nais and a hessian sack and some twine.When I found a pigeon nest I woyuld use the hammer and nails to help me get up to the nest,and take the squabs(live)in the sack,and,if they weren't quite ready(they need to have full wing feat

    I must say that when I went over to raw,I was worried that my pup wasn't getting enough food.But,after awhile I realised that as she was like a dynamo,and just full of go,so it's obvious that she is getting enough.Skycat has it exactly right when he says that they get far more out of it than these cans or dry foods.My brother was up today with his Weimereiner that is fed on dry food,and when it shit I couldn't believe it,there was like 4-5lb of soggy mush .When my JRT has a shit it is like three or four firm cigar stubs.

    I was walking the dog one day on the local common,when a bullet whizzed across the sky just above my head,and went through a line of trees.It could only of come from the other side of the valley,so,it just goes to show how important it is to have a safe backstop!!!!There's always the odd cowboy out there.

    I would agree,but,what I do is offer the knuckle of my right hand,while holding the ferret with my left hand.And,as the ferret bites,I just give enough pressure to make it gag(be carefull you don't push too hard,and injure the ferret),and this usually stops the biting after a few times.
