  9. This is my first ferretting trip this season, and,I was waiting for my mate to come round, and,he was late.....so we didn't get there till midday. I was doing a hedge line(all hawthorn)of about 50yds to start with.It was riddled with holes, and,as usual it was murder to net, but, with a pair of seccateurs I finished netting up in just over an hour.My mate was on the other side of the hedge, and,as I popped the two poley jills in,I gave him the thumbs up.The adrenalin was pumping as always, and we had to wait just 5mins before the first net bulged and tore off out to the length of the cords,I wa

I arrived at the Estate in the New Forest at 0515hrs,and pulled into the carpark in front of the larder,to be met by the stalker, and,a syndicate member, and guest. We had a little chat to introduce each other, and then marked on the board where we were going to be shooting in the Estate,so,if anyone turned up late they would know where we were(safety first).I was lucky enough to
  18. The cost is £500 for a full year, but, the main reason for me going there is....I am new to the game, and the stalker is going to mentor me,and the estate will be put down as my main shooting area, until he signs me off,at which time I do have a couple of places already with some deer on.But,the amount of deer that I will be able to shoot on the estate will mean that I should get signed off pretty quick. Hopefully anyway. It is actually the first time I have ever had to pay for shooting in my life, and,I thought it would be a better way to get signed off than spending nearly £400 to do the dsc1,a
  19. That's the only downside to it mate, the Estate take the deer, but, you can buy it back off them for a decent price,so it aint too bad.
