  3. Just feed them 'James Wellbeloved' ferret food.It is brilliant for ferrets, and,I have been feeding solely that ever since he started producing it.I have had 12 yr old ferrets with all there teeth,so,I don't think anyone can argue about the quality. Plus you don't get the problems with flies in the summer either.
  4. Hi all,my 6 1/2 mth old bitch whippet pup woke up yesterday morning with a limp to her front right leg.I haven't actually seen her knock it at all, but,I just assume she has,or pulled a muscle. There is no swelling at all that I can see, and, she bites me when I touch her inside toe.She did seem to be a bit better this morning, but,I didn't let her run too hard just a bit of light jogging, after a walk of about 2 1/2hrs she did start limping again. What I want to know is......is there something that you use to rub in(like embrocation)that might help? I don't think it is too bad, but,I read on a forum

  16. There isn't actually a defined acreage that you need, what is important is that you have proper backstops to enable you to shoot safely,or a high seat to shoot down from.I only rang my Firearms Dept. the other day and they confirmed this for a .243 cal and a .22-250 cal.I actually know of someone that uses a .243 cal on 2 acres of land..................martin.
  17. Went out for a ferreting foray with my brother-in-law and his son(neither of which had ever been before). We went to a local piece of permission that I have, where all the buries are in hawthorn/blackthorn hedges. So with seccatuers handed out and instructions as to how to place the nets etc. we started with a small bury of 6 holes.I was very impressed how well they both adapted to the new sport, and, the first rabbit was in the net after a short 4-5 min wait. After the initial good start,we had a much longer wait,as the bury was a lot deeper than I thought,so,I popped another ferret in,and, that soo

  19. He's still a puppy mate, let him grow up and have some fun as a puppy should. You can run him when he's over a year old and he would be more mature and able to concentrate more,he is probably just going half baked cos he is a bit bored? There is plenty of time, and it is very easy to ruin a dog by trying him too early,so just have fun with him for a few more months.....and enjoy it and bond with him,it'll pay off in the end..............good luck..................martin.
  20. Looking good boys,keep it up...................martin.
