  1. Set of roll bars for Nissan Navara D22. Pics can be sent on request. Free, collection only. PM me or call 07775 695882 Edited to say in North Wales Thanks Sam
  2. to an extent the same goes for the Blade Tech too mate. If you don't hold the knife directly in the centre of the two wedges it will put more of a bevel on one side than the other. In the same way as using a steel or a stone I promise ATB Sam
  3. I'm no expert at all mate. You know the dogs and this other guy. I'd just be wondering why he's thinking about getting rid of a dog that does well on different quarries. At the end of the day you have to choose mate. Maybe his dog is a better dog than yours mate. If it is and he's willing to swap then fair play All I'd say is that if I was after a dog to do more than what mine do I would either make sure I had enough room for another and go out and get a pup or just accept that I chose the dog I chose and wait until the dog pops its clogs. ATB anyway mate Sam
  4. What's wrong with this dog? If the guy wants to swap he obviously thinks that you dog is better...? ATB Sam
  5. Fair enough mate. Just speaking from my own ones. I have two carbon steel ones that I've had a few years and I have to use the lock. This is what I do mate. I definitely don't know everythin but I deal with alsorts of different knives day in, day out. ATB Sam
  6. They are a good knife mate. Watch what you get though. A lambsfoot knife is a style of blade so it doesn't mean that just because you've got a lambsfoot blade it's going to be good. It's steel quality that counts - style and shape of knife is personal preference. I'm not treating you like your dumb mate, just thought I'd clear that for anyone else looking ATB Sam
  7. really like the look of the dam mate. Seen a few pics of her on here before Pup looks well too ATB Sam
  8. Hi Bob and Woz, We manufacture the Blade Tech Knife sharpener and I can 110% guarantee that it will not damage any knife you put through it whether it's a cheap knife or expensive as long as it's used correctly. If you're still having problems with the knife and/or the sharpener then please, by all means send it and/or the knife back to us mate. We'll sharpen your knife up for you and see if your Blade Tech if defective. If it is we will simply replace it and return the knife and replacement sharpener. If the sharpener is fine we will resharpen your knife and return the knife and the origi
  9. DON'T take the lock off an opinel and think that it will work. It doesn't. It works for a start because the wood is still tight but once you've used it a few times the wood wears and the blade gets sloppy - anyone who's had an opinel knows that after using the knife for a while, you need the lock otherwise the blade would collapse. If it's the law you're worried about then check this out so you know where you stand http://sportingcutlery.co.uk/you-and-the-law If you're still wanting a non-locking knife under 3 inches to fit in with the law as a knife that you can legally carry anywhere
  10. Really Nice mate. What cross? Straight Collie Grey? What hight is he? ATB Sam
  11. very nice Fuji. I've seen a couple of pics of this dog. I'm not usually one for collie crosses. Very nice mate ATB Sam
  12. As has been said before, why don't you look at a cross? Something like a 1/4 collie x 3/4 grey or 1/4 beddy x 3/4 grey would still give you plenty of height. Just my opinion but you'd be better doing your research now and getting a type that you know is going to suit you rather than getting a greyhound because your not sure what else is about or what they're like Hope you find what you want anyway mate ATB Sam
  13. But they DON'T care about what the majority of the country thinks !! Every poll suggests that 75% of the population wants to leave the EU; but all three main parties will not give us a referendum on it !! Latest polls suggest that only 0.1 % of the population are even Interested in gay marriage, let alone support it !! But Cameron is staking his premiership on it getting him votes !!!! Again, 53% of the country supports a repeal of The Hunting Act, 2004, but the Tories, only yesterday, have said they will not have a vote on it during this Parliament !! They are all in for what they
  14. all politicians are liars. They lie to get in to government to increase their salary and once they're in they only care about the stuff that the majority of the country are definitely going to agree with. They leave the other, more borderline and risky stuff and say they haven't got time. If you do the maths and for arguments sake say that 60% of the general public think that overturning the ban would be a good thing and if the tories overturned the ban it wouldn't mean that the whole of that 60% would vote the tories in next term because that 60% would still filter out through the other p
  15. I have a a Beddy Whip x Whip Grey and up to now he's been fantastic. If I was to get another I'd be looking for the same of breeding or maybe something with a bit more length and height like a beddy whip x grey. I'd be interesting to see some pics of dogs of this breeding! Sam
  16. Here's the one that I use mate http://www.amazon.co.uk/Westgate-Gold-Label-Purple-Spray/dp/B0040QWIMS/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1355991460&sr=8-3 ATB Sam
  17. Hope all goes well with the mating this time Geoff. Tell Mick the same Fen (litter sister to Milly) is coming on well too. I think he was actually the best decision we've ever mad! I had him out on Friday night for about an hour. He had 5 runs and caught 3 and the reason that he missed the other two was basically down to experience. Chuffed isn't the word! The only thing I'd have been more chuffed with was if she'd have gutted them for me too ATB Sam
  18. Hi Joel, You mix the whole kit up and store what you don't use. The stuff that you haven't used lasts indefinitely. As for the oil, it'll do the same amount of skins as either of the kits - K-Tan will do up to 3 large sheep skins and the white tan kit will do up to 30 rabbit skins. Hope this helps Sam
  19. Hi Guys, I'm just looking for a few opinions on this one. We manufacture a couple of different tanning kits for tanning any skin from mouse size up to as big a skin as you like. It can be hair on or hair off tanning i.e. leather. We're looking at taking the tanning kits and branching out into different areas and I would like to know what you thought. This link is to the "White tan tanning kit" which is best for any mammal skin up to fox size http://sportingcutlery.co.uk/tanning-kits/one-bath-tanning-systems/cp0502.html This links is for the other tanning kit - "K-Tan" whic

  21. Very nice dog that mate! Credit to breeder and yourself Sam
  22. She is indeed. She talks a lot of sense. Hes a nice looking dog mate. Have you tried using his 'negatives' to your advantage i.e. if he hasn't go much top end but is quite nippy he might be a handy ferreting dog..? My whippet is worth his weight in gold as a ferreting dog. I have one of Pennys books and a couple of Cesar Milans books for general training. I don't know that much though mate. I'm only 22 - there are plenty of guys on here that know more than me but the trouble is not many of them are prepared to give genuine advice. ATB Sam
  23. I've got a Beddy Whippet x Whippet Grey pup who is coming up to 12 months now. I couldn't ask for a better dog tbh. He is fast, clever, biddable, trainable, brings back live to hand. He is around 22 1/2 tts now so will probably end up around 23". I chose this breeding because I wanted something with a bit of Greyhound to add a bit more top end speed because I also have a 3 year old whippet who is great in small fields and as soon as he managed to turn something you know he is going to catch. The problem with my whippet is that if a rabbit brings him back into a big field he doesn't really agai
  24. Do it mate. If the parents work well you wont go wrong if your after an all rounder. If your after something just for rabbits I'd go for something with more sighthound i.e. 3/4 cross. I've never had one myself but all the ones that I've seen have been very good all rounders with plenty of balls and brains. Hope this helps Sam
  25. From my experience from my own and my mates dogs I would say to go for breeding that has a decent skin i.e. collie cross, bedlington cross etc. I have a whippet and he would only have to look at a bit of barbed wire and he would get a rip. 9 times out of 10 if you see the cut straight after it's happened it looks fine but by the time your got back to the car/house it's got bigger due to their tight skin. My beddy cross on the other hand, has much better skin and although he's only 11 months he's had cuts that would require stitches or staples for whippet. Just my opinion and I'm ju
