  1. 36 grams of S.G only kidding. I have shot (and killed) rabbits with every thing from no.8 to no.4. They all do the job.
  2. Im intriged, What are you upto in that picture?
  3. Well i think the top and bottom of it is this: Any full power air pistol Co2 or spring will do the job, you are probably better sticking with your airrifle or using a an alternative method perhaps one outlined above. I will continue to to use my method and Matt will continue with his May all your trapping be safe and effective.
  4. I really cant see the excessive danger in shooting a squirrel, rat or magpie in a cage trap with an air pistol. Its difficult to remove a live aggitated magpie from a larson trap on a regular basis without letting them go I also believe its quicker and more humane than trying to force an animal into a sack so you can kill it. We will have to disagree on this one
  5. Ill second that!! Does make a hell of a noise though. I use mine to despatch magpies in the larson, it doesnt leak so one Bulb lasts ages. I paid about £70 for mine new Dont buy a webley pistol they are not up to doing mink, I know from watching someone try I thought using a pistol to dispatch squirrels was bad enough, but MAGPIES? Is no-one capable of doing a proper risk assessment? Its a wonder its safe for you to get out of bed in a morning mate, Get back in your cotton wool, you'll catch a cold.

  7. How longs abit of string mate. Some dogs are up for £50 some well bred coursing dogs can be £500 some mongrels go for £200 on here!!! There is a world of difference between a whippet and a saluki, do you intend to work the dog? if so what on? If its just a pet i would go for a whippet or even a retired greyhound You can pick up a 3 or 4 yr old retired track greyhound for peanuts and they make nice pets.
  8. They seem to be a bit of a specialist lurcher and probably not the best cross for me. After a chat with pointer i have decided against breeding this way due to the possibility of the dog opening up and a couple of other points. Cheers for the advice pointer.
  9. I met up with a mate of mine today and he brought his dog along, a wire haired pointer. Its a smart looking dog really big and strong but athletic looking too. Top and bottom of it was if i wanted him for a stud dog over my greyhound there would be no stud fee I jst wondered what people though of the cross or if anyone had any first hand experiance. I saw one on a lamping video i believe the dog was called Tarn and was a 3/4 pointer but it still caught on the lamp and would tackle fox

  17. i dont think you should of put it on the main forum , should of sent it pm . you will have all sorts pretending to want the mag for all the wrong reasons . talk about being paranoid, this magazine is well advertised and written and printed well within the law so whats the problem ???? your post will lead people to believe that theres something in there thats not meant to be, which is'nt the case..... My fault Lucky...the post originally had more info than what you see now so I edited it. I agree with you there Simoman....makes your heart glad to see the bairns involved

It was my mates and he kept rabbits init with no escapes Its made of standard chicken mesh not weld mesh. will it be strong enough to hold a couple of jills? I cant imagine a ferret biting through mesh but i thought id ask. Cheers Dave.
