  2. If this pup turns out to be any good id like to put him over a whippet. This little fella is not shy, but he is very quiet. Like i said above he is 7 weeks old and he spent an afternoon bursting ballons left over from the young 'uns party No fear...

  4. Greyhound trainers dont usually buy dogs they train them for their owners and the dogs papers would tell how it was bred and never known a greyhound trainer havea dog sit and stay coursing dogs recall YES thats in their interest Y.I.S Leeview Thats what ment but you have put it better....

  8. As some of you may know i had to rehome my lurcher due to him snapping at my daughter.. I was looking for a whippet or whippet cross for ferreting and mooching as i no longer do any lamping. I have now got a 7 wk old whippet/wheaton pup. Does anyone have any experience his cross? I'd be interested in seeing pics of an adult dog if anyone has any. Any constructive info welcome. Any slaggers keep it to yourselves Cheers Daveo
  9. Looks like 3/4 bred gets the vote then.
  10. Iv ordered a kit off Agouti, Should be enought to make 15 spun poly nets... Thats the most nets for the least money iv found. Most are 12 nets for about £23-£25 inc postage. Cheers for putting me on to him.
  11. I had a beddlington X whippet/greyhound that i did alot of lamping with and he was a very good dog, I felt he lacked top speed and struggled to make ground when a rabbit was really moving. He only ever caught one daytime rabbit but countless on the beam. I think putting him back over a pure whip or grey would have produced more useful pups for me. But as a dog purly for mooching any of the above would make decent dogs if they are brought on properly I thnik a 3/4 beddy 1/4 whippet would be spot on for mooching aswell.
  12. Bloody hell! i was expecting at least 26" I bet she is a belting rabbit dog, good size for the coneys Even though she is only 1/4 bull its left its mark on her..
  13. No problem mate, nice looking pup. unusual to see black and tan, How are they bred?
  14. Nice bitch mate hows she bred? My brothers bull X had a phantom preggy last year what a pain in the arse that was, The bitch must have smelt really nice to my dog because he tried humping her for weeks and weeks after..
  15. Iv already got a spool of Flax or what ever it is... does it rot like hemp? Cheers fore the replies gents.
  16. ALRIGHTY THEN, I have successfully made one purse net using the materials a mate gave me, a couple of rings and some hemp like stuff thats not hemp.. I want to have ago at making a few more before i commit myself and buy a spool and loads of rings.. Can anyone suggest a kit supplier? I'v seen a few but they are like £20-£25 quid, seems abit dear. I only want to make 6 or 7 nets before i take the plunge and spend a few quids Thanks Daveo

  20. Wow, iv seen a clip of a bloke trying to catch rabbits with a cheetah on a deer farm with 12' fences round it and frankly the cat didnt show any interest at all, but its been reared from a kitten where as these have been caught as adults amazing stuff! Imagine scruffing one of those....
