  1. Warwickshire hunt terrier and lurcher show, only about an hours drive. used to be a great day out when I lived local. Not been for a few years though
  2. Sorry for going off topic slightly but Bunnys, do you really think bull and shepherd/herder/malinois need each other in a lurchers breeding? if so, what do you believe one breed brings that the other doesn't? cheers
  3. My coursing bred pup was worse than that, they've straightened up now. He's at 9month
  4. Was a few good lads there and a variety of different crosses, couple of pictures of my pup in that selection too.
  5. surprised you need a bushing dog with them, that pups litter brother is like a spaniel if he smells something in cover and has the nose of a hound
  6. Heres a litter brother, certainly keen enough! Got to keep him on a lead most places round here so he doesn't get himself in trouble.
  7. Anyone use spaniels alongside lurchers, now or years gone by? How did they work different game rabbit/hare/deer/fox? And how did they get on as a team? Pictures most welcome
  8. Looking at getting 2-4 chickens for eggs. Got a decent sized grass garden for them to roam and looking at a coop for night time. Looking for something that will be quiet and good layers. Any ideas? Cheers folks
  9. Picked his brother up yesterday, cracking pups
  10. Sorry to hear that Bosun. She has had a few stitches in the past, also nothing serious but hey shit happens on the dog game. Just gonna have to wait to source a decent pup in the new year. What will be will be Thanks for all the kind words lads, she'll always be with me in thought Atb and merry Christmas to you all
  11. Lost my lurcher bitch last week, only young at 5 1/2 years old. found out she had lymphoma (cancer) last month and she really went down hill quickly, lost loads of weight and had lumps appearing all over her body as well as passing blood! Last Friday she was at her worst she was refusing food and anything she ate was thrown up. She wasn't comfortable and was clearly her time, so the vet was called out and she was laid to rest! Less than a week before Christmas, and just half way into our season and leaving me without a dog to run! She worked her heart out for me and was truly something special
  12. Had it with a lurcher, his leg was never the same again! Couldn't manage a night long hard nights graft! May be different with a spaniel compared to a running dog though
  13. Anyone ever had any experiences with canine lymphoma? Just been told after a fair few tests and scans my bitch has it. I'm fairly gutted, to say the least as the dog is apart of the family and has worked her heart out for me over the past 6 years! Vets said chemotherapy is an option but won't cure anything, only prolong the inevitable. Heads all over the place!
  14. One site moved on a few days ago they were asking about my bitch a couple of weeks ago and if she was for sale, luckily they didn't get her yesterday aswell! Mates have been down another site but no luck.
  15. Belongs to a good friend of mine, they've also looked after my dog and housed for me whilst I've been away with work

  17. Blue brindle Beddie whippet bitch stolen from St Nicholas park Warwickshire today around 2pm last seen being dragged away on a rope by a man! Pictures to follow!!!
  18. Any planned litters or pups be due early next year? Getting out the forces shortly so just looking in advance!
  19. Just had a drawing done of my old dog, I'm really impressed if I'm honest! Anyone else had any pictures done?
  20. Seen a lad hit by both roe and fallow, tried to jump over the fallow but it hit him on the lower legs and flipped him. He couldn't walk for a week. ?
  21. I can see where you're coming from with regards to idiots picking dogs up just because they're cheap, however i do have to disagree at the same time. Some of the best dog men I know have little in the way of money.
  22. Anyone studied at the RAU? Considering heading back into education next year and the ' Bsc (Hons) Applied Farm Management' undergraduate degree is looking appealing at the moment.
  23. Can't take credit for this, but like it all the same!
