Since getting back from this years THL meet i've been itching to get out and put some of the new technique's i'd learnt there into practice.Unfortunately the weather had other ideas.This evening i was reading the forum, Daz7 was single handedly keeping the magpie population in control,and AR177 was all over the country gaining new permissions and having good sport on the rabbits,well in lads .So went up stairs looked out the window at the field opposite and there was rabbits all over it.That made my mind up for me grabbed the gun, range finder and a few pellets and headed for my local permi

  7. What a brilliant weekend,to Si,Davy,Chaz and all who helped organize this years T.H.L meet very well done .Was good to put a face to a name,all top lads/lassies.Defo be going to next years ,will bring ear plugs to the next meet .ATVB to all who attended Ste.
  8. They are a very hard pellet Si,and areal tight fit in the panther but not in the R-10,wil be bringing a fare few tins down with me as well as some .177 daystate heavies, your more than welcome to give them a try.
  9. Hi Si,going to bring the 3 with me just in case any of the lads fancy a few shots with them.But i think this will be my weapon of choice on the day.very consistent shot after shot using the .22 daystate Li's,topped with a highly recommended hawke tac 30 sidewinder 4-14x44 1/2 mil-dot.

Just a quick post lads ,yesterday our son told us he saw two mice at the back of the shed.So this morning i thought i'd have a quick look,crept round to the back of the sheds and there looking from underneath one of the sheds was not mr mouse but a mr rat.This afternoon i got the R-10 out as it is mounted with a mtc viper which goes down to 10 yrd's,had a few shots to determine my poi at 10yrd's and found i needed 2 mildots hold over.Decided to leave it till this evening to let things quieten down,looked out of the kitchen window and there he was in a flower pot eating the seed that was fallin
  12. Hi Davy, the ferals seem to be a bit hit and Miss . When I go in the afternoon there doesn't seem to be that many yet the farmer told me there was 2-300 one morning.so might make an early morning next time out,also get a lot of crows and jackdaws feeding on the cattle feed.yes I will bring all three rifles to the meet let the lads try them out ,see what they think about the electronics.just looking at converting meters to yards on chairgun for the range you'll be setting out.ATB Ste ...

  18. Hi mate I have a nd3 and have never used it .lent it to a forum member to do a review on and it was very hard work. The beam goes for miles but is very narrow making it very hard to scan the fields. If you open up the beam you lose the distance.Would be good for static nite shooting I.e sat outside large warren.i.m h.o your best of buying one of the n.v set ups that are out

Hi Archie,had a problem with my R-10 last week it had lost 1 ft/lb in power but was still very consistent,on tuesday i sent it to john bowkett who had done all the work on it ,got a phone call tuesday evening saying the rifle was fixed and he had made a few more tweeks at no charge,and i would get my gun back wednesday morning he even offered to pay for my postage cost which i declined,Top bloke
