  1. Daystate panther .22 Seben camera mount casio ex-fc150 for the slow motion Panasonic hdc sd800 for normal footage ATB..Ste
  2. Thanks stealthy,I re edited the footage so as not to cause any upset. The farm where I shoot the ferals is neighboured by other farms and I know the the pigeons there are there to stay.Having spoke to basc about this you only commit an offence if I.e you pick the pigeon up put it in your car and the owner of the pigeon comes a long with proof that the pigeon is his,you can get done for having on you someone else's possession. But your right in saying a good homing pigeon would be back in its loft.ATB...Ste
  3. Had the same problem Gafer, used the 177 the last couple of outings so had to get all my aim points sorted before I used the 22 today
  4. Hi Reece, the camera has the high speed function, recorded at 240 fps anything higher and the picture quality is very poor.
  5. Managed to get up to the dairy farm today, and get a bit of footage in slow mo.As good as daystate are they have the fault that you can double load as the first part shows,2 pellets falling short of the target.Got some good head and neck shots on the pigeon and head and a heart/lung shot on the rabbits.Last bit of footage was taken with my normal camcorder as the battery life is naff on the casio HS...ATB.Ste

  8. Thanks for the comments lads.felt a lot more confident using the .177 this time out.the camera I used Elliot is a Casio ex fh25,unfortunately the light turned bad due to the rain.
  9. Nice shooting Mac, keep at them mate.Ste
  10. Haha can't squeak to safe my life stealthy mate, gave up and started shouting and whistling at it,still didn't phase it.
  11. Day off today, weather didn't look to bad, chance of showers,so i picked up the .177 and headed to my permission. The video was shot at 240 fps and needs a bit more light, the first shot was a feral taken with a clean head shot taken at 30 mtr's.The heaven's then opened with a heavy shower of rain and hail,so i took shelter in a small shed opposite the main cattle shed.As the shower eased the second pigeon presented itself at 33 mtr's.If you look closely you can see the first shot just miss to the left of his head,he wasn't to lucky with the second shot.I then caught this culprit hunting the rabbi
  12. Thanks for the reply's and comments lads, appreciate it.Phil,Lewis,Mark, like you i have shot nothing but .22 for going on 30 yrs.The .177 has a lot going for it,i just need to learn the characteristic's of it.I will be out again with it soon as and hopefully have a bit more footage..ATVB Ste
  13. Hi Chris the camera i am using is a panasonic hdc sd800 and is fitted on top of the scope.I use the seben mount our a handle bar camera mount.
  14. They are both top pcp's,and will out shoot the shooter every day of the week.Daystate i would go for one of the electronic's,airwolf,mk4 is, panther.the trigger/cocking action is unbelievable. But you will be paying twice as much for the daystate than the hw100.Best of going to your local RFD /Gun club and see if you can try both and see which feels right for you.Good look mate..Ste
  15. Managed to get out yesterday to my main permission thanks to the let up of the strong winds.I decided to take the .177 out rather than my usual .22,reason being i have been doing a lot of paper and target shooting with the .177 and amazed how accurate it is ,hitting small bottle tops at 50 mtr,s no problem. When i got to the permission i was surprised to see how little cover there was, this made the stalking of rabbits more difficult. After a quick zero check all was fine, and then i tried to dispatch some vermin with it and thats when the problems started.I was missing things i am very confiden

  17. Good luck mate, looks like its going to be a cold one
  18. Very nice Chris, from experience you may find the trigger adjustment screws are loctited in.if so you need to take the trigger out and heat them with a hair drier to realise the loctite.ATB...Ste
  19. Hi Tim,the bipod I'm using is a promos trigger bipod ideal for kneeling/standing shots it adjust by pressing the trigger on the handle ,so you can go from kneeling to a standing shot in a second none of that adjusting one leg at a time, think they come in a smaller size as well idle for seated shots.Cheers Scott
  20. Thanks Robbie, looking to get a huggett. Shroud/silencer when they bring the shorter silencer version out.
  21. Thanks for the comments guys.Lol Denise Healy rabbit.Si I do prefer .22 ,the panther ticks all the right boxes for me at the minute. That being said I haven't really given .177 wolf a fair go.
  22. I have been checking the weather for the last couple of days and today was perfect for the air rifle,no wind, clear blue sky and getting warmer throughout the day.Decided to take the .22 panther simple because the pellet gun combination is perfect and if i missed as i did it was down to me.First shot of the day was a jackdaw in the tree's opposite the farm,i originally picked out a crow but there was to many branches to get a clean shot,as i was taking aim the jackdaw landed in a nearer tree and gave me a nice head shot. The next shot was at the ferals on the cattle shed, these are getting to kno
  23. As Adam said. I believe in 4-5 weeks time they are bringing two more silencer sizes out, small being the size of the iPhone, normal and large.the small was tested to be only 2db louder than the normal. If your after the shortest shroud/silencer combo I'd wait . http://v2.daystateowners.com/forum/download/file.php?id=865&mode=view
  24. Lovely rifle,and quality shooting...ATB..Ste
