Last time i was out on the new permission i spotted a couple of rabbits with mixy.So at 3 o'clock yesterday i ventured up to the permission to hopefully get rid of them.Within 2 minutes of entering the field i spotted 2 feeding. Got down on my stomach and slowly edged my way round the corner to take the shot. One had gone to cover the other was sat watching me ,stamping it's feet in disapproval .Rangefinder out 32 mtr's shot taken, instant kill.Only saw a couple more but there was no sign of any with mixy.by now it was getting dark and the rain started to come down,so called it a day,1 in the

cheer's symon once i'd got the right magnification it was spot on.it does look promising on the rabbit front mate , the permission is just a house on it's own that has a bit of land surrounding it .An old lady owns it and at the back the land has over grown an the rabbits have moved in.Just across the road is a stable's that own a lot of land and is over run by rabbits.luckily my mate's son is going out with the owners daughter, and there would be no problem getting me permission on there Hi mike ,no it's a bushnell ,spent hours at an indoor range sorting my milldot hold over/under on x12 ma

Visited a permission i had'nt been too for several years yesterday to see if there was any bunnies about.5 minute walk about and i'd seen 7-8 bunnies.knocked on the door to see the owner to see if it was still ok to shoot, amazingly she still remembered me ,not a problem she said there's lots about.went out this evening at 3-30 to try and bag a couple for the pot.came across 2 straight away got down to take the shot ,but they saw me and ran into cover.Walked round the corner and 4 were busy feeding finally picked one out ,took the shot 30mtr's missed .One rabbit had stopped short of cover ,too

1st Failure of the Si Pittaway challenge
wedge2409 replied to wedge2409's topic in General Airgun Discussion
should be ok -
It was a lovely day to day slight breeze ,blue sky, a perfect day to take up the Si Pittaway challenge. This was the first time i'd attempted to shoot anything at 75 mtr's.The first thing i noticed while zeroing was the big differance magnification has at that distance. My scope goes from 8-10 and it was hard to get it just right ,just over 8 and it was low ,a fraction more and it was to high. Having thought i'd got it right at 4 milldot's holdover ,i commenced with the challenge.Having seen the footage up close the misses are'nt a million miles out,so i'm made up with my first attempt. On my n

i got the airwolf 2wks ago tom and it's no more accurate than most pcp's.the only real difference is its all electrical so there is no effort in cocking it and the trigger is light as a feather.quite life less when you think about it.awesome gun's nether the less.

i'd be interested if you find them for a 30mm scope tony, the seban are good but can move with the slightest of knock's.thank's si ,just after that shot another rabbit had appeared on the other side of the hedge ,forgot i was using a 177 and gave it to much hold over, was trying to way up why the rabbits had bolted from the hedge when the farm cat appeared in front of me.

Should there be problems with leaks etc these will be sorted as a matter of course. Incorrectly shortened barrels and major parts damaged beyond repair will be quoted for separately. The majority of the work in a Blueprint Tune is outside the scope of work that can be done in production. Over and above standard “tuning” many components are modified or replaced entirely. These changes have come about as a result of my developing modifications since the R10 was first designed which are not suitable for production but benefit the rifle considerably. The list of these improvements for the R10 grow

hi tom,i bought the mk1 r10 which was reported to have some issue's,not so with mine and probably many others.straight from the box giving like davey say's 5p group's at 30yrd's.my gun did'nt need a blueprint i thought i'd make a good gun into an awesome one , and thats what john bowkett did.don't forget j.b puts a life time guarantee on his work .you've got a tough decision to make mate both rifles will out perfom the shooter any day..ste

MANAGED TO GET OUT THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH THE NEW RIFLE.AS I WALKED TOWARDS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SITEE SPOTS A COULD SEE A COUPLE OF RABBITS UNDER THE HEDGEROW.SAT UNDER THE OAK TREE WIND IN MY FACE AND WAITED.WITHIN 15 MINUTES 2 RAN FROM THE HEDGE TO THE BURROW ON THE HILL.THE FIRST ONE MADE IT BUT THE SECOND STOPPED TO HAVE A LOOK AROUND,BIT OF A MISTAKE,LASERED AT 31 MTR'S A 8.4G JSB EXACT WAS SENT HITTING THE TARGET JUST ABOVE IT'S EYE,INSTANT KILL.DID SEE A COUPLE MORE BUT WAS'NT ON THEM QUICK ENOUGH. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2aZ9axqydEQ&hd=1

wedge2409 replied to wedge2409's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
cheer's westy, i live 1/2 an hour from the daystate factory so i was able to call in and select a stock. they are very accurate , at an indoor range today with the rifle benched, pellet on pellet at 52 yrd's ....ste -
hi bill. there is a lot of potential .he's only opened the one range at the moment to get a bit of revenue in,the range next to it will be just for zeroing ,with all paper target's going out to 45 yrd's.what impressed me the most was'nt the rifle it was the speed of the 177 pellet.i was given some daystate li 7.9g pellets with the gun which i was'nt overly impressed with chroned at 9.7/10.2 ft/lb.so i bought the jsb exact 8.4g pellet the gun loves them pushing them out at 11.6/11.7.

called at this new range today to zero my rifle and a bit of plinking.to zero your rifle they have paper targets set at 5yrd intervals starting at 10 and going up 50yrds.for plinking they have everything, vermin, spinner, cans, empty cartridges, etc they even had tic tacs to set up on the back wall 52yrds away.its a great place to see how accurate your rifle is in a still air environment. i met ben the owner who told me of his plans for the club, cafe with pool table ,new windows to alllow more light in.he also would like shooters input on how to make it better.if you live near by and the weather,s
