Brightened my morning up watching this, was good to see new faces attending and some top shooting taking place.IMHO everyone is a winner who attends these meets ,some have to take holidays of work, and also digging deep when times are hard to help a very worthy charity.Hats off to you all ,and I hope to make the next THL meet in January .ATVB...Ste

  9. Put this clip on y/tube and forgot about posting it on here .The tree is a good sitty tree for the woodies, situated in a wheat stubble field and has a small pond beneath it.Got myself comfy under a small tree and waited, prior to taking the shot i had picked the best place for a clear shot and lasered it (39mtr's) and taken some practice shots at a leaf.I needed 2 mildots hold over for the range and 1 mildot to the right to allow for the wind.Plenty of woodies visited the tree but none were i could get a clean shot, but eventually my patience paid off when this woodie landed in my chosen spot,a

  14. Not been out our posted for a while,so i went to a local permission not 5 min from my house. On arrival i went to the back of the house where there is a small garden with a few apple tree's,on other outings there has been 1-2 rabbits there, but on this occasion zero.I then started to walk the edge of the field, just about to turn the corner when i spotted a rabbit 10 mtr's away, unfortunately it saw me and made for cover scaring another one at the same time.I then crept to a hedge were i have had success in the post, peered round the corner and there was one sitting no more than 10 mtr's away, shot
  15. as always , top quality.keep up the great work.ATVB,Ste..
  16. yes, and they are a great scope.field of view is amazing.takes a bit of getting used to having your eye just touching the scope, but then i found it a lot easier to keep the scope on target after the shot is taken,Marksman on the forum has starting using one and given good reviews on it

  18. I ordered the stock in march and was told there was a 5 month waiting list.Well it arrived this morning, and it is an amazing piece of work.It is in black and grey laminate with a high gloss lacquer.
  19. Nice shooting and video,Si and Davy.Unfortunatly you will always get someone with nothing better to do than criticise something they wish they were capable of doing.Having met you both one thing I am 100%sure of is you don't take pot shots. So for me lads if you are confident of a clean kill be it 30yrds our 60yrds take the shot,simple.ATVB..Ste
  20. I think the weather has kept a lot of us from going out,so a quick check on the forecast light rain till 8am then low cloud till 3 and then more rain.Thought id chance it packed everything into the car and set off for the permission .It was 7 when i reached the farm and raining so i did a quick zero from the car window,an hour later it was still raining and i was plinking from the car.The rain eased of a bit to fine drizzle but didn't look like it was going to clear completely so off i went.Today i was using the ds panther which is putting out 11.2ft/lb with the daystate Li's.The first shots w

  22. Cheers Dave, was hoping to get out today being my day off,not stopped persisting down all day.I think the crow was only young because i was sat in the field when it landed in the hedge, shot another one of camera 15 min later. The forestry were felling pine trees so probably disturbed a few nests..ATB.Ste
