Toke some of last years pet lambs that did not make the grade last year on Monday am happy with what we got back

Get you self a bag of Damascus earth or how ever you spell it , I got 15kg of amazon was cheapest put some in a old wasing up bowl for them to dust in and sprinkle over the perches ones a week to keep mights away I also do mine with ivermectin twice a year

My kid brother is going though a rough patch ( long story) any way he gets very cheep diesel from work , and his oil tank at home is half full could you run a boiler on half heating oil and half diesel iv had a googel and says it burns at same temperature etc ? My mats dad used to run his car on heating oil

I was letting my hens out at 6am half asleep wearing my slippers, as I pulled the pop hole open a bloody snake landed on my feet , I stood up that quick I smacked my head on the hen house roof and when I was half way back to the house I realised I had left my slippers I can laff about it now but it bloody scared me ha not what I was expecting, I did go back and look for the snake with a stick and bucket but couldn't find him

Just feeding me hens at allotments and a black and white cat has just walked past with a 1/4 grown rabbit in its gob , iv bolted afew ferreting too

I think it used to be about £40 for a box of pigeons any were in the country, guessing you could get 30 hen chicks in a pigeon box ?

Iv some hybrid hen chicks 2 weeks or so old guaranteed hens id like £2 each for them to cover the crumb n heat , pic was taken last week ( east Yorkshire)

They only cheep but have to buy them in packs of 100 so I just pinch some of a shepherd mate of mine lamb macks they called ,

Just to keep them warm n dry for the first day or 2 they are all off now , they don't have a shed to get in if it pisses it down so they just offer a bit of protection, pluss makes it easier to spot the littel buggers

O n by a bag of sheep nuts they will get very tame if you feed them little and often makes it easier for loading worming etc

I'd go talk to some local farmers and see if you can buy 4 or 5 weand lambs and run them on until September, They is no profit in them as every thing is set up for the big boys , you will need to worm them amd treat for flys , you won't need to shear them just send them off to be killed , I look at it if I can get a full lamb in the freezer for my self and sell the rest to pay for it

One of last years bottle fed lambs that did not make the grade last year has gone lame ( a bit of foot rot ) I rung my vet and asked for some antibiotics but because its been one year and two weeks since they have seen my sheep they wanted me to pay £68 for a farm visit Monday to Friday, or £94 on a weekend, a farm visit i have 2 paddocks ,!! , I rung a mate of mine n got a jab for feck all
