  1. Did our yearly trip to the Fraser, was a brutal trip to be fair with it pissing down, cold and windy most of the 4 days we were there. Only had two small salmon and no sturgeon over the first 3 days, but got into fish on the last day fishing the harrison rive. We ended up with a couple of salmon and 4 sturgeon over 6ft on day four, biggest 2 went 7ft 8" and 7ft 3"
  2. Strong prescribed medication is my guess.....
  3. A guy walks into a bar and tells the bartender, “If I show you a wild trick, will you give me a free drink?” The bartender shrugs, “Sure, why not?” The guy reaches into his pocket and pulls out… a tiny rat . Then out of the other pocket, he pulls a teeny-tiny piano . The rat stretches, cracks his knuckles, and starts playing the blues like a rodent Ray Charles. Stunned, the bartender pours him a free drink . After finishing it, the guy says, “Now, if I show you an even better trick, do I drink free all night?” “Buddy, if you can top that, you’re drinking on me till closing,” the bartend
  4. Just noticed the leadline on this one netrigger, do you rig the trammel for rabbits with the leadline (or was it been used for fishing)?
  5. Nice to see someone still knitting, whats the twine netrigger? Thanks, Gaz
  6. Mitre please dont take this the wrong way mate, but his is supposed to be the Funny Joke Thread, not the "Comment on every joke with some random shit, that makes me sound like some retarded cock who is deffo on the spectrum" thread....
  7. I will be over there fishing for them in 3 weeks, can't f***ing wait
  8. Touched a nerve pal or a bit close to the bone(r)?
  9. I live in Canada mate, I think we have something 20% of the Worlds fresh water and we still have to pay for it, and in lots of areas its shite or worse poisoning people
  10. Cant see why it wouldnt work either. Your post reminded me of a day out with my mate years ago ferreting a bank / small hill, just nets and ferrets (no dogs). A rabbit bolted out of a hole we had missed with the nets, ran down the hill, across a small field, and up the bank opposite us. Their it disappeared down a hole. Not 3 seconds later it bolted out of a hole beside the first, and ran down the hill back towards us. We crouched down and the silly sod ran back across the field, up our bank and backnetted itself in a pursenet we had set. Thanks for reminding me!
  11. Some monsters now coming out of South America Mack Watch: The Next World-Record King Salmon Will Be Caught in Argentina WWW.OUTDOORLIFE.COM A recent Instagram video shows why a remote, glacial river in Argentina will mostly likely produce the next world-record Chinook salmon.
  12. You can f**k right off with your spring, we probably still have another 8 weeks of snow on the ground here to look forward to, and it was -30 yesterday...
  13. I think with bear a lot depends on what they have been feeding on. A fall bear that's been eating oats and berries all summer is meant to be superb. One that's had a lot of fish or been raiding trash for its diet is often on the other end of the scale, at least that's what a lot of people round here say.
  14. That's a fair point, i still love to watch bears when i come across one, or listen to wolves howling at night, its just i now have no issue putting one down when needed. I am sure most on here love watching wildlife, even though we hunt. I have seen some pretty cool stuff since been over here, without a doubt the best was sat in a treestand with my son when a pack of 6 or 7 wolves of came past at about 50yds, leapfrogging each other while the stopped ones scanned ahead, it was awesome.
  15. I was the same when I first got over here and had no interest in hunting bears or wolves. I think a lot of that I was down to the image the media / Disney/ antis portray of them. But after a couple of years I realised for me it's no different to hunting fox back home, there is a ton of them here and they do cause problems. Plus spring time is boring as f**k (you can't fish April / May with the ice break up) and bear season is the only thing to do.
  16. Nope never tried it pal but a lot of people do, (the griz are protected here and cannot be hunted, black bear are common though and an over the counter tag to hunt). Just to note over 60% of Alberta is crown land, and there is no need to get permission to hunt it, you just have to make sure you follow the seasons, bag limits etc. The fish and wildlife officers here have more power than the coppers and dont feck about lol... Edited to add the 60% includes some parks like Jasper / Banff where you cant hunt, (but there is still a ton of land where you dont need permission)
