In my experience, inside dogs or outside dogs, makes no difference, although the dogs that are kept indoors seem to understand every word I say, and I would say they bond just as well as a kennelled dog, if not better
As soon as their eyes are open we start them off with baby food using a spoon, then progress onto Iams puppy complete soaked over night, by 4 weeks old there on chicken wings aswell.
Good luck with them
,yes feel free to add your smilers
The bitch smiling is the same one as in my aviator pic.
She's recently done a gracilis muscle and I've been putting witch Hazel on the bruise with cotton wool.
Every time she see's me get the cotton wool balls she curls back her lip and smiles well I hope its a smile!
Been interested in these fast type of dogs for a while now, never known anyone to run them, and for me my only worry has been, injuries and having to see a fairly young dog having to be retired
If I was younger I would have bred one of my grews to a 3/4 saluki 1/4 greyhound & kept a dog back, being 65 I couldn't do the dog justice.
It's surprising how many people think that if you race your dogs, that you don't work them when the miners strike was on, we had meat on the plate 5 days a week, and I mean meat I've even been to jail for poaching in the 70s.
ps I jumped for joy today when it came on the radio that the witch Maggie Thatcher had died , unfortunately it was peacefully
You must have led a sheltered life craig, I've seen hundreds of saluki type dogs doubled up over the years and didn't catch the hare that they was slipped on.
Tay was 5/8 greyhound 3/8 whippet weighed 49/50lbs & stood 24 1/2", I bred a litter 6 months ago & kept back a smaller version of Tay, she's about 20" tts & weighs 29lb a very stocky bitch.
This is one of mine in 2003 breaking the track record, he's in the black jacket, he knocked rabbits over for fun, he went back 4 generations to Country Music
We had another 2 seasons with him, but eventually had to retire him due to a dodgy wrist.
Also we never had any toe problems with him
I do still keep the same line of dogs but a miniature version ie.....all my dogs go back to country music
