I like the "look" of laminate but practically they add too much weight to a rifle -much prefer custom "wood" stocks

im just back from 4 day break [wedding venue] in otterburn [Northumberland] and the whole area is devoid of "any" wildlife .most of the land I walked on with dogs was military training land which was vast ,dogs flushed 3 grouse and sadly that was it over a 3 hour walk .maybe the army shooting has scared everything away? I didn't even find a warren

out last night with daughters lad [craig] and although the cloud started off a bit patchy it did thicken up later on allowing us to spot quarry and get cross hairs in place - mk1 rapid was used between us and im pleased how craigs shooting has come on , he has grown in confidence and now doesn't get embarrassed when he misses ,ive told him from day one "missing" is part of the learning curve and if we hit everything we aim at there would ,nt be owt left!!! lol dogs retrieved all birds to hand

are you on about the dipped ones jjm? as I was keen as mustard to get mine done then few weeks later it just didn't do it for me -the lad I swapped stocks with couldn't get away with his cs stock and was over the moon with the dipped one [but only for a short while] and went back to a natural wood stock

I didn't keep hold of that realtree one jimmy ,I thought it would be to my taste when I got it done but it had no character and done a straight swap for this one
