  1. I have an Honda CRV 2ltr i on a 99 plate, but full service hist from new and i get 30/31 on a run, not bad i think, mileage drops though when in the fields riding round, but its always full with my shooting tackle, the engine is unbelievable not prone to breakdowns: Dave
  2. HI Si & Davy, another brilliant vid just what we have become accustomed to now, they just seem to get better, and excellent shooting: Dave
  3. I used to see loads when i was a kid, have not seen one since probably due to the change in agriculture over the years, lots of areas been cleared for planting to make use of every inch of land. But they will hear you long before you see it and be gone you have to be very quiet if you know wear they are and Waite down wind just same as if you were after a Rabbit: Dave
  4. Well done Symon, two Rabbits "and" a Mallard good going ATB: Dave
  5. You've obviously been doing something right, so why not stick to what your doing, but if your intent on buying your own decoys buy flocked they are not dependent on weather meaning no rain. They are reasonably priced now on e-bay, as some have said you need some movement in your pattern so a pro magnet or flapper, you can buy full bodied with rotating wings that you can set up on a thin garden cane, these are very good but are dependent on wind, but if you have been using a particular pattern that works stick to it until it stops working then don't be afraid to change it and try something diff
  6. Well shot Trentotter, went out on the 1st but never got a shot, all the Mallard were passing to my right, my mate Mick managed one but that was it, hope you get many more: Dave
  7. A nice brace Stuart, did you get out with the shotgun then: Dave
  8. Well done Carl, hope you get a few Rabbits and get some pics posted: Dave
  9. Nice shooting Symon, nice sized Hare too: Dave
  10. A lovely plump Sqizzer, Daz, well shot good camera work too: Dave
  11. Use .177 and .22 iv'e no problem with either; Dave
  12. Nicely done Daz, like the set up with the seven, that will certainly improve your night shooting, still love that stock: Dave
  13. There's no easy answer to this you just have to approach the nearest farm to the fields you wish to shoot and ask if they own them, it will either be yes or no, but they will usually tell you who does if they don't. and make sure you are polite at all times say that you are attempting to keep the Pigeon population down before new crops go in and would it be possible to shoot the fields, as there are no crops to damage they will normally let you shoot: Dave
  14. You said you installed AVG, this suggests to me you were running the computer without an anti virus is this correct, what you describe sounds to me that something attacking your computer and i would guess you have a worm virus. this transfers itself to every program/ file you run and eats away at your memory, if you can get onto Microsoft website go to downloads at the top of the page choose your operating system then download the program: Dave http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/products/security-essentials
  15. Sorry Stealthy like the Rabbit and Pigeon well shot: Dave
  16. Stealthy I've got the same scope with AO, got mine from Redbeck Shooting Supplies for £65, but i could have had a bit of discount as I'm a friend of Anthony's Dad, i look at the price elsewhere and i usually get something off: Dave
  17. If i were you i would get a shotgun first, more so if you want to do walked up shooting, wild fowling, pigeon shooting, game shooting if you get invited or join a syndicate. and there's always Clay Pigeon shooting, you can't do all those things with a .22 RF etc can you, your restricted to ground level shooting with a back drop more than with a shotgun. unless you shoot unsafe and taking shots wear you don't know were the bullet will end up, then that would be totally irresponsible: Dave
  18. When i am going wild fowling I'll take some 28grm 5s and some 32grm 5s, reason for this is if the ducks are coming in low I'll use the 28grm if coming high then i use the 32grm. but a lot depends on the wind, the stronger the wind the birds tend to come in low to the pond, when wind is light they will come in high, especially on a light night, but easily visible but so are you, so you need to be concealed until last minute: Dave
  19. The longest i stayed out was until midnight, winter this year it started snowing and i was frozen silly only got 4, haven't had a good night do this summer, but i will do now the nights are drawing in a bit: Dave
  20. Congrats Darren, like waiting for a bus you mis one and two come along at once, good shooting: Dave
  21. Nice one Daz, two more Maggie's while relaxing can't be bad, i really love that SEXY Seven, pity its a lefty I'd love it, is it a custom made stock Daz: Dave
