    Mind the belt???? Aye, fkn mind it alright...some of the teachers I had were pure wicked b*****ds. One in particular loved nothing better than belting kids - you could see it in his face. Hammered me often - and now I see the old b*****d shuffling about town. Think I'll kick f**k out of him next time I see him...

    Mines not the quickest - probably down to her bulk but she has a bit of growing to do yet! I reckon she'll make 26". But she is very athletic, hunting ability is improving weekly and she fitting in well with the others. She's very protective.

    Mrs does the cooking - we eat quite a bit of venison and to be honest in my opinion it's best in the slow cooker. Stunning - just melts in the mouth. She made a venison chilli a wee while ago and it was fantastic - slow cooker's the answer tho!!!!

    She's just over 24"tts and is 34kgs - bloody massive. Double of her dad!!! As keen as she is strong. Most laid back dog I have ever worked with...until you need her fired up and...well you'll know as well as me eh?

    Get one of them plastic lampshade things - cheap as chips at the vet - stick it around its neck and it'll stop the licking. And I use Sudocreme. It's meant for babies nappy rash etc and it is fkn brilliant. Mrs gets a bit pissed off when she goes to use it on kids and it's got dog hairs in it? Even bought me my own tub which now has DOGS written on it!!!!!! Great stuff - swear by it!!!!

    I once called a breeder of deerhound xs who claims to breed the best bloodlines in England - seriously I was on the phone for two hours getting the verbal shit kicked out of me and after an hour I was wishing for a brain haemorrhage!!! Doubt I have ever heard one man speak as much shit in my life!!!

    I had a patt pup with parvo last summer - he was 6-7 weeks old when I picked him up from the breeder (also picked up parvo) and three days later he was a real sick wee guy. Pulled through tho after a week in vets a vet bill that would give you a coronary!!!!

    And when the next one doesn't fit your complete lurcher bill - what do you do then? Give it away and get another and another and another!!!! Hopefully the dog is somewhere it's appreciated. I live with my dog's quirks and ebrace their qualities.In more than 30 years I haven't 'passed on' or sold a running dog - they only leave here to go to the great hunting ground in the sky through old age or injury.
