    Iv'e had ACL and PCL reconstruction on my right knee. Didn't play rugby ever again, but i was over the hill anyway, not an prime specimen like you!! Best of luck, you'll be fine. As for the TV. Jeremy Kyle ??

    Stayed untill 1am last night. Had loads of what I'd call "liners" from about 11pm onwards. Mainly after I'd just re-fed. Fish catching the line whilst feeding on my freebies maybe ?? Really thought I'd get a hook up last night. There were 3 really big fish crash out in my swim after dark, one right over my baited area. Kind of frustrating hearing fish crash and getting indications but no proper takes. It got really cold towards the end. It's supposed to be Summer. F F F F Freezing.

    Feed pellets and groundbait have to be bought from the fishery. Any make of hook pellets and other hook baits are allowed.

    Here we go again. 3rd trip of the season. A swim I've fished before, would have liked to have fished another swim upstream a bit, but the wind is bad and 2 fish came out of it last night, according to a guy fishing downstream of me. So not much point fishing there. I may say the same later about this swim.?

    Not 100% sure on this (Coz i'm staying out of the booking pitches lark) But I think the camping is a £10 night. We'll be down by the lake rather than around the caravans. Make sence what with the potential noise and all that. If the weather is crap, we can use their clubhouse, as long as we leave it as we find it. As for the comp, we all chucked in £15 last year. Which all goes to the Charity, along with whatever extra we raise. Donated prizes for the first 3 or 4 anglers. I'm going over later this week for a sneeky fish and a chat with Rita about the comp weekend.

    Tonight's peg. 50 Yards from the upstream limit of the river we can fish. Wider and steadier than the normal swims I fish. Here's hoping.

    Same swim different year. Nothing yet, but that's to be expected. Kingfishers feeding their young nearby, can't see them, but can hear them.

    Or how about that 2pm fault call. We got rang up to go on a fault, 100 mile round trip, sit and wait untill the juice was turned of, 10 minute job. Got home late. Tomorrow now.

    The reason we have to use the sites pellets and groundbait is because they want to be sure what type of bait is going into the lakes. Not just any old bait. (Or high oil content pellets) You can use any other bait you like, just not any other pellets or GB. Lots of places do it, bit of a money spinner if you ask me. Anyway Joe, did you actually have ANY bait on your hook last year ?? Your result would suggest not. ...............And as regards for Walshie beating me. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

    Well. It's that time of the year again. Glorious 16th tomorrow. Got me bait, got me license, got the kit ready. I'll be off after work, back on the river Dove again. .............Can't fooking wait.

    No, if you're going to be camping you need to ring up the site and book in yourself. Ask for Rita and explain you're fishing the CHARITY match on the 16th August. She'll book you in. We are camping down near the lake we are fishing (Gils) It's all in my OP in the Charity fishing comp Thread in the General section.

    We've had Ossie 6 1/2 years now. I've never hit him in all that time. Not something i'd ever do TBH. But if he's done something wrong and he knows he's in trouble, he'll fall straight onto the floor looking for all the world like he is expecting a beating. Not nice to see the fear in his eyes. We often wonder what sort of life he had before we got him.

    River Dove for me again. With a few trips to the Trent. Got a week off middle of June. Iv'e just this minute re-rigged my Barbel rods, checked the kit over, shared some of the bait with the dogs. I'll be on the Dove after work on the 16th.
