  2. Several places around this area have been devestated by otters moving in and wiping out fish stocks, they entered them ponds through sheep netting ,the problem you have is the otter like the badgers only enemy is man, there numbers will rise like badgers until it will be to late, would I be right in saying the only thing that will take a hedgehog is a badger or have they got other predators, because there is an endagered species if ever,I have not seen a hedgie for years not even a road casualty use to see loads as a kid.

  8. I have had the rat smoker from Arthur Carter for about a Year now have only had the opportunity to use it three times, without a great deal of success,I think that I am using to much smoke because the rats I bolted today were well overcome by the smoke, which was a bonus because it made it easy for my young patterdale bitch to grab them, but I was wondering if there were anymore in the burrows and I gassed them ??????????
  9. I've had Beddies and Beddie hybrids in the past worked fox to ground (seen by plenty) and the young dog I have now has been on a few digs - had 3 reds , One on top, one in an earth and one in a drain. I can't quite figure it out BB&B but WTF IS EATING YOU WHEN IT COMES TO BEDLINGTONS???? Reading between the lines, it seems that you had a poor Bedlington at one time, and now seem quite embittered towards the breed. Perhaps you have found your level - thats why you now keep Brians Beagle cross Jack Russells. What part of Scotland do you come from I bought a Beddie of a fella
  10. Hi Steve we bought three portacabins to renovate into toilet blocks for our caravan site, these mesh tunnels were fitted over heaters which we no longer required,as soon as I seen them they had a purpose, got another five all with places waiting for them. Thanks for asking Alun

  19. When you are working out prices always start with what it is costing you ,then ask why the customer wants rid of the pest ,you will be intrested in the responses you get then, work your price out ,dont rip the customer of ,but dont rip yourself of either, too many pestie work their prices out because the love their job,and half the time end up doing it for next to nothing,I know I speak from experience,LOVE IT
  20. Well if you make them up s shown in the picture, they become virtually invisible when set high up the tree-trunks. do't forget to fix some wire mesh to the underside of the board though. Rolfey. What you mean to deter them going around the trunk
  21. You lot must be mind readers or summit,I am just putting together some quotes for a customer, about exactly this brilliant,I have to put them up some trees, out of reach and view.
  22. If the rats are running through cavities use a product like contact dust,If children can gain access to your posion to mess about with it ,it should either be securely positioned or removed.Have you got any photos of the place.
  23. Intresting info as everything your taught tells you keep them away from strange smells wear gloves rub your hands in dirt ,think I will try Jeyes next time
  24. I was about to start a thread on here stating that BULLSHITTERS ruin good dogs, this highlights it perfectly Frank, somebody has probably fed him bullshit about white dogs and he has that in the back of his mind each time his dog misses a rabbit ,which could have been missed by the best dog. The best dog I ever owned and went out lamping with was white as the driven snow,Beddie whippet cross would take everything, the only white the the rabits seen of him was his TEETH when they were clamping on them.
  25. [att chment=25182:06_10_07_1308.jpg]Here is the Bitch and my pup,Currently cannot speak high enough of her in the field,What rabbits she has not caught yet would be my fault i.e moonlit nights, areas of lamp shyness slipping her on rabbits to close to the hedge, what she has caught would be down to her tremendous kick off speed agility and determination, she is currently catching one in every three slips and retreving to hand, steady as a rock with a ferret and dead marking, forgotten what a joy lamping is,admitedly have not run her on anything bigger but that wont be until next season in Ireland,
