    After work i decided to pop over to a local farm to have a look round round and put my new rifle to the test along with my hawke lrf 400 rangefinder. After a quick zero at 30yards i took a walk round, it isnt a big permission but is quite sheltered which was good as weather is on and off at the minute. I spotted a couple of woodys in a tree, 40 yards away said the rangefinder which is about a mildot holdover on my scope, so i got comfortable on a gate and aimed it at the woodys neck.     ive only had hawke & mtc scopes. i prefer the mtc scopes personally. but the sidewinder is one that i would look at getting maybe at some point mtc reticle is the best thing on the market imo

    is it a new model with the half mildot, if so it is absoluetly fine to use with an airrifle as with any mildot scopes the only ones which are more suited to rimfire are the standard 30/30 reticles i had a hawke varmint 4-16x44 sf new model about a month ago but sent it back as the reticle is too thick for my taste

    I have owned both. And both are great guns. The main diferences you have to look at are. 10 shot or 14 shot mag Bolt or side lever Un regged or regged The looks Price The weight of the hw100 didnt bother me but when i fitted an a&m cylinder it was alot better to handle plus you get more shots.
