  6. So i was determined to get out today and get myself some wood pigeon, as i have been out recently but have been unsuccessful to bag anything due to the bad weather. I got up at 7:30 this morning and looked outside and thought FOOK that so i jumped back in bed and woke again at around 10am, so i grabbed my gun set off down to one of my farms, it was VERY windy and absolutely nothing about so i got back in the car and set off to a smaller farm that i remember seeing a few woodies sat in the trees the other day. So upon pulling into the farm and entering the small wooded area about 6 pigeons

  11. yes, sand the paint down after a few coats with 2000 grit wet sand paper to get it super smooth
  12. Well start by stripping the stock with nitromors. Then do what you want with the forend and then its a case of making it as smooth as possible even after being wet. So keep sanding with a say 180 sand paper then wet the wood and leave to dry then sand again and so on and move up to 320 grit then onto 600 wet & dry then 1500 wet & dry then finally 0000 or fine steel wool. Process is long and time consuming but worth it in the end. Once sanded then you need to go through the methods of the chosen finish Scott
  13. just a note, i didn't see anyone mention, calibre or magnification on the scope as this will make the POI differ greatly. scott
  14. don't sand the checkering, go from a fine down all the way to 1500/2000 wet/dry sandpaper, use a block if you want to keep straight edges. personally i used just my hand as i slightly reshaped the stock to give more curvature what stock is it? scott
  15. My local sells the s410 for £500 - even better saving
  16. I also like the rapids aswell as hw100. Went for hw100 in the end as the quality of it beats anything hands down Scott
  17. I think you will far more better accuaracy with the sony handycams as they are more fitted to the scope than a digital camera as they have to be further back and therefore making it more uncomfortable. As for samsung nightshot i dont have a clue pal. Only ever seen and used sonys nightshot. But as for sony handycam vs digital camera, i own both and much prefer shooting with the handycam Scott
  18. You need a sony handycam with night shot. I have used a sr32 & sr33 which are both fantastic and compact. Or you can use the one that si uses which has a better chip 1/4 rather 1/6 which is better quality but you have to use it upside down on the scope as it is quite long, so you will need software that will flip the video footage. Scott
  19. Lovely mixed bag and great read Scott
  20. The day is sunday. The day i try and make free so i can do a spot of hunting, so up i was at 8:30 and down to one of my permissions to do a bit of target practice as i have not done any in a while. So after a bit of paper punching at different targets i checked on my grouping with my new choice of pellets - JSB EXACTS 4.53. Well i was quite please in what myself and the pellets managed -----> group was around 8 pellets ( what was left in my mag ) and shooting off bipod on car bonnet at 30m after that i headed over to my newest permission with every intention to get some p
