  7. as long as it is not a registered fac air rifle and you keep it below 12 ft/lbs then you do not need a license
  8. I will start off by saying that what i am about to say is my opinion but the people who have owned or own these guns will agree Ok so, if you are serious about hunting, air rifle, target shooting and want to do for the foreseeable future the brand new cheapest set-up will cost you BRAND NEW: Weihrauch HW95k £300 - Or similar Weihrauch or Air Arms Hawke Scope - £50 Gun Bag - £10-£15 Pellets - £10 This WILL give you a very accurate rifle that is capable of putting rabbits down at 50m with ease. DONT go out and buy a cheap £100 chinese rifle it will cost you more in the lon
  9. I found this article in Airgun World Feb 2012 issue and thought i would share it with you guys. After reading the article i actually grabbed 3 bramley apples and chopped them in half and put them at a popular rabbit spot on one of my permissions and returned the next day to find 5 halfs gone and the whole inside of the sixth eaten out but with the skin left. whether it was rabbits i cannot be sure scott
  10. I really like it, some people dont. all reviews about it are amazing and i am off to see a lad tomorrow to have a look at the previous model to see if i am going to choose a standard ( pictured ) or long as the long is still shorter than the hw100 carbine with silencer. it will be .22 caliber and shooting jsb's as this is what eduard built the rifles to run on using specialy selected lw barrels single shot wont bother me as i rarely need quick follow up shots. a FULL review will be a must pal cant wait!! - wont be ready for dispatch untill march/april scott
  11. far too cold to be messing round with cleaning barrels outside. actually when i saw your first post of the rws superfields i went out and bought some and they were awful in my barrel equal to fx in yours! so you owe me £8 haha. well today i did do a pellet test at about 20m which i ran 2 mags through of each brand before using another 14 shots for the test and cleaning the barrel every pellet change and also using the same air pressure for the 14 shot test. i used, bisley mags 4.50, hn ftt 4.51/4.52, weihrauch ftt 4.51,jsb 4.53 and all did great actually but i will stick with t
  12. were the tests equal (clean barrels, air pressure etc.) as i cant see the jsb & aa's opening up that much at an extra 15m as they did well at 25m i use jsb 4.53 through mine and the groups stay tight from 10-40m no problem. scott
  13. it all depends on budget and need pal.
  14. hawke are great scopes, i prefer mtc optics. but depends on your budget. but get one with parallax adjustment scott
  15. I think its exactly the same as the hw100 just designed for a specific market. As for the weight, no i didn't think mine was heavy at all but when you put a lightweight cylinder up front you definitely know the difference. scott
  16. No mate get yourself out. Dont know what i would do without hunting in my life Scott
  17. No mate forget bipod for springers. Try to shoot from a kneeling position. It will help you out loads, as i got too used to using a bipod on my pcp as its the easy way and decided to give it up and just use kneeling standing etc. Look how much advice your gettin! This forum is great for advice pal especially the airgunners! I have been on other parts of the forum and different forums and all i got as a reply was 'search the internet' BELL ENDS! You wont find a better bunch here mate but watch out for Mole Scott
  18. also using a bipod with a springer just wont work correctly as it will send your pellet fliying (usually) high and right scott
  19. If you zeroed at 35 yards then you can shoot from 15-37 yards without having to aim off. Anything past 37 yards will need holdover which is far easier to judge with a mildot or similar scope Ranges given are estimations give or take 1-2 yards Scott
