  1. How do you find the sire works compared with your bitch? Does the d/h make him more layed back or is he as hard as your bitch? I had a d/hxgreyX gsd. My favourite lurcher & exceptional on fox & great to have around.

  9. My hunting life started when my parent's followed the fox hounds, I always ended up with the terriers in the back of the hunt Land Rover. Then I had my first dog a Collie x Springer bitch. We went every where together mostly mooching about the local farms. Next it was 2 Ferret jills & a handful of nets. Didn't catch much but then a friend of my dad's took me out with him & used to let me take his Grew Gyp with me. Thankfully Gyp new a lot more about the job than I did & we started to catch a few. I have been hooked ever since! That was back in the 60's & I still have a couple o
  10. In the South West a lot of people kept GSD/greyXDH for the bigger stuff Now its all BullX used.I had a GSD/GreyXDH bitch that died 5 years ago & she lived for fox & nothing else! My father used to get his rabbeting dogs from the Exchange & Mart. They came from Nottingham & were Springer SpanialXGrey Hound. He would send a postal order to pay for it, the pup was then put on the train with the guard & delivered to North Devon.I don't know if I would be that trusting now. .What ever breeding is in your dogs,& if they do what you want what more can you ask?
  11. We have a gsdxcollie bitch that was accidentally covered by my bed/grey x grew/wpt. She had 8 pups, 7 I gave to mates & have one here. It was a variable litter ranging from almost pure looking gsd to a 27inch bitch that looks suluki x. They are all working, are good family dogs, good guard dogs & the owners are all pleased with them. I used to have a gsd/grey x dh & she was the best fox dog I have ever had. Good luck with the pups, I hope they go to genuine working homes with people who know how to work there dogs.
  12. She is looking great Danny, i bet you can't wait to see how she gets on next year Good luck with her!
  13. I have a 3 year old lurcher out of our own bitch, he was 1 of a litter of 8 & had strangles at about 5 wks of age. All the other pups were fine but he couldn't have his jabs or go out until he was 6 months of age because strangles affects the immune system. He never caught up with the other pups in size & still occasionally suffers with runny eyes & the hair never grew back around his nose. He is now out working but it has taken him a lot longer to get to this stage than any of the other pups.
  14. Danny that's one of the best looking pup's I have seen in a long time.
  15. I had a dog off this chap 3 years ago, it was well looked after, did everything he said it would. He is a good man to deal with & if I was looking for a BullX I would be the first one knocking on his door! Good luck with the sale.
  16. he wouldnt be as head strong as the 1/2wheaten 1/2greys or some bullx's he's not the gamest of dogs but he kills foxes without getting smashed up and that suits me the bullx i lined him to is a pain and was always layed up he can be a bit fighty around some lurchers but has been penned with my bullx for about 4years they have the odd scrap but never anything serious but he is brillant around terriers and hounds ive penned him with afew different terriers without any bother Thanks for that mate, I used to have a GSD/Grey X Dearhound & she was great on the fox but since she died a couple of

Well been to the vets & no chip but has to have an injury on the inside of his back leg stiched up. No its not the dog on the post, wrong colour. I have spoken to the dog warden & have aggreed to look after him until his owner is found or longer if needed. (He is such a nice dog he can stay for good!!!) No one has reported him missing so will just wait & see. He has just had his dinner & is asleep in my chair again.
