  2. Cash lol...Shows respect mate ,i like it . Nothing to do with me and probably all the better for it
  3. It took me a fair few years to slow down and enjoy the day again, would I do it again ? Not a chance, to many backstabbing b*****ds, you don't need anti's in the hunting job, you're surrounded by c**ts 24/7. I'll stick to scratching around and enjoying the day, the company and the terrier work, no rush, rush, rush. The old boy that started me off came for a day with me just as I was packing it in, we had nine that day. There was nothing to deep, it was like shelling peas, three to four foot every one of them. We we're finishing up on the last dig when he says to me "this isn't digging, it's
  4. and bolts. So if a fox is bolted twice then dug that's one fox not 3I don't know anyone that would count them like that
  5. I think we're talking about the same place Glyn, I did 276 in my season there, I didn't have the full season either, Jim wouldn't piss off lol
  6. That's a given DS, there's only so many hours in a day and only so many pissers to pinch them from
  7. Oh yes they are, and plenty of them
  8. A gift that keeps on giving ! Those terriers are looking well mate, fair play
  9. Don't judge the whole line by a few hunt terriers, there's plenty of top bitches from this family of terriers. There's good and bad in all dogs, it's our responsibility to get the best we can from what we've got, and to breed to the best of our ability. There's always second rate stuff from good honest terriers, just as you can produce greats from average terriers, but would you breed from the great that came from average ? We've all got our own ideas and personal view points, we'll never always agree either. Edited to say... Just to prove my point, my own personal view , after digging
  10. 100% Agree BUT, the best of the best are that way regardless of how they're kept, who owns them or anything else we can think of, natural born greats.
  11. Exactly my point with the staff cross, life's to f***ing short !
  12. Three and a half-hour unchallenged, a hunting life record, you Irish boys must be in shock !
  13. I don't know, what's his terriers like ?
  14. Most of the the Stevens terriers have it, I've always called it a short rib, i must of heard it somewhere when i was still listening to other people
  15. You leave my member out of it, perv
  16. I've got T shirts older than that
  17. By Christ you can tell the seasons finished ................. Can't we all just get along
  18. i don't doubt you have DD heard nothing good about your self & terriers, but how many ns enthusiasts can say that.. I've heard of dozens of young terriers full of promise that got pts because of ego's and people in a rush to get to the finish line. One thing I've learned over the years is that there is no finish line. I've had and have still got flyers, but the vast majority of these start early but don't seem to put it all together until they're at the end of their second season. The trouble is everyone's heard about the "special" line of terriers, and they think everyone of them sh
  19. I personally think he was a lucky b*****d to have the work for the terriers, decent lads around him and a good basic set of terriers to build from. He was a joy to watch working his terriers, he was a good man on the banjo, a genius at breeding terriers he wasn't. He did no more or less than anyone that's reading this post, he kept his dogs to the best of his ability, he bred what he'd got to the best available to him, no more, no less
