Both of the above are absolutley correct, the trouble is it is like guns and knives, the object itself is inert, it is by whom it is used or how that brings forth the problems. To be fair i can see a time not far away where snaring if not banned all together, will only be allowed to be used by "proffessional" authorised people, licensing in other words. Now this may be a contensious matter, but if this came about i would imagine users would be allocated reg, numbers if these were put onto a plastic tag that was attatched to snares any misuse would be easily traced to the person responsible,

Looks like you lot took a leaf out of Ed Cooks book, wet legs up to the nackers, you should have been wearing cords though, it soaks up the dew better. -

Foxdropper, People, no, Deer carcass, yes, NO STALKING, NO MOVEMENT, unless the carcass stays on the land on which it was culled. Would advise that you take a closer look at what DEFFRA have to say on the matter, I could be wrong but i think you will find that the other 99.9% of uk stalkers read it the same as me.

H+J, The tang is the metal behind the cutting edge, ie, the bit in the handle, so a full tang goes the whole length of the handle. Regards MT.

Recently i advertised a BSA TACTICAL XL on here brand new with a AGS compact scope on it, i had pm,s from someone who said they wanted it, the agreement was that next time i was coming up to sussex i would meet up, Now then this is where the apology comes in, I deleted the pm by accident, , so i dont know who it was and i am now coming up to the east coast. Just bought the VX3 4.5-14X50 @£510 from the sportsman, this is to go on my SYSS ruger 10/22, the only reason i put a scope of this cost on a rimmy was because it was reccomended by the company i bought the night vision scope off, they said it would in their opinion give the best clarity of vision etc, Well i would never had bought a Leupold normally, preffering the likes of Schmidt, Swarovski, Zeiss. BUT, i must say they do appear to be very high quality optics, dont go much on their appearance but that is of little consideration. Life time guarantee. Time will tell as they say.

Coincidence there Fox hunter, i too went out yesterday morning to see if i could call a buck, didnt see a single deer,but i did see a vixen, 20 yds with a 6.5x55, the outcome was inevitable. Out again tomorrow morning, first day at the Fallow, checked my gear twice already, got to be up at 2 am, just know i am not going to sleep, like a kid at christmas.
