  1. i dont think it looks ott, it sets that combo up nicely mate i'm all for "enhancements", if only it was that easy to add 3" to everything. . . . I may well give one a try, only problem is the sun shade will be worth more than my scope .atb. .ste.
  2. nice write up bill The rifle looks the bisness mate, real nice looking bit of kit that, what scope is that? Just one thing. . . . Don't grenade launchers usualy go under the barrel . . . . . . . Oh no wait, . . . That's a sun shade Was toying with the idea of getting one myself, but as we live in england it was more going to be used for keeping rain of the objective lense and maybe even on a sunny day or two, wich we like to call summer .atb. .ste.
  3. i'm sure he will return the favour when he can drive, remember, he don't need a licence to drive off road i used to strap a bean bag to the wing mirror for shooting out of drivers window whilst driving, used to try and line shots up best i could by useing the steering to get the target into my arc of fire, probably about 70 degrees, worked for me For a young lad shooting from passenger seat, just wind window down and hang a towel over door to protect paint work (if your worried about scratching it that is). Oh yea and a sheet of kevlar over the wing mirror .atb. .ste.
  4. take the nicest bits of meat off for myself weather it be wood pigeon, rabbit or pheasant then carcases go to ferrets and dog. Chest freezer in the shed is good for the days when you bag up. I regular take to work pan fried pigeon breast / rabbit sarnies with red onion and mayo on thick wholemeal bread, yummy! Packet meat from the shop for sarnies is well over priced and crap in comparison in my opinion. Allways tastes better when worked for and free! .atb. .ste.
  5. this is a proper blow to a ferreter at any time and even more so in the run up to the start of the season. Those two brothers were held in very high regards as workers by mike and all his stock is very well looked after and cared for, feel for you mate! Hope someone can help out!! .atb. .ste.
  6. Just out of curiosity, what did you shout at it? I'd just like to know, no particular reason electric fence sounds like a good idea! .atb. .ste.
  7. kfc , they can't resist the colonel's secret recipe, the best part is you can eat it yourself and just throw the scraps in .atb. .ste.
  8. i heard you diden't have the bottle to get rid of them. . . . So you got your mrs to do it  lets hope the arse.p.c.a don't relocate them next door also try putting the food in the cage rather than sprinkling it round the garden sory mate couldent resist mooch this weekend? Give me a ring and dont forget to bring the mrs incase you have to get anything to the sanctuary!! .atb. .ste.
  9. massive difference in the level of noise between aa field and bisley magnums and i mean massive! Also a lot less deformation with the bis mags hense lads having problems with over penatration. .atb. .ste.
  10. should say i havent used an r10, so hopefully the bsa lads will provide there preferences for you. All the best with the new rifle .ste.
  11. my first port of call with any air rifle is to try aa field and rws superdomes, havent used a rifle wich dosent like either, bang in a 30yd group rested prone with each and one if not both will be pellet on pellet, then try a bit further and further the groupings will spread but you will find one of them to your barrels liking im sure this is my tryed and tested method that works for me, maybe others will disagree. Hope it helps. .atb. .ste.

  16. just having a look at cheapest places to buy from, have found www.lamping.co.uk to be cheapest at 135quid for locator with one collar, anyone bought anything from them? Would like a bit of feed back before parting with hard earned cash, or any other places anyone can recomend to me. I dont buy mutch online and am always a little suspicious of any transactions i am not physically present at, if you know what i mean. Any help appreciated .atb. .ste.
  17. in some countrys they race snails for sport. . . . . .atb. .ste.
  18. nothing wrong atall mate, people have differing opinions about season's and dispatch methods for quarry, shooting hares with an air rifle is fine and pheasant and partrige and duck (in season, with permision). No closed season on hares mate, however it is better to let them be during summer to preserve sport as they arn't really a pest as sutch and so they can care for young ( so there are more for you to go at in future ). Some of the people who tell you that you shouldent probably think nothing of taking as many as they can during winter. I dont see the problem your first kill a

  21. i dont think you will find yourself in a position where they wont eat dry if you have no meat, if they are hungry they WILL eat and probably eat pretty mutch anything i would imagine .atb. .ste.
  22. sory should have mentioned my two are this years jills, they will eat dry food with a bit of water to soften it up in the morning and a quater of a 1/2 to 3/4 grown rabbit a day in the evening without guts or skin and theres next to nothing left by morning, got a little pestie job to do so perfect for the ferts as the freezer is bare im have no experiance, its just what im doing .atb. .ste.
  23. i feed mine rabbit fresh from the field, gutted and skinned, only realy skinned as i keep the pelts to train the pup. the ferts love it, i seperate it into front legs, back legs, front and rear torso and chuck the head away, four easy meals the only thing left in the cage after is a spine or a knee or two they do have a bit of dry food sometimes aswel. from what i'v read on here people only worm if there is evidence to suggest worms are present. .atb. .ste.
