  1. Im hearing praise for the co2 smk, I have no idea what they are like to be honest but is anyone saying they would take it over the r10, as thats the impression I got from the o.p's question?? .atb. .ste.
  2. That could be a bit of a debate starter Im not starting it, anyone else?? .atb. .ste.
  3. I dont mind either way mate, altho it is nice to share your enjoyment with others, I love it when I pull of a good shot to see the grin on my mates face, we tend to do our own thing anyway and have a laugh at the end, im sure if you wanted to go out with someone or let someone come with you there will be lads on here near you .atb. .ste.
  4. In short, leave the smk and get the r10 .atb. .ste. Edited to say if you want it for an all round hunting tool.
  5. Top shooting on the squizzers mate, im sure you will catch up with the ferrals very soon but until then looks like your going to get it in the ear from the old chap .atb. .ste.
  6. If we are getting into weather conditions also, go after a deep covering of snow has just thawed and take a bag (may have missed the boat this year lol) Dark nights help, rain dosent seem to bother them unless it gets silly and then I leave em to it , a little breeze helps, wind is more of a hinderence for me. nipping out literaly an hour before an iminent storm can produce the goods apparently ( is still on my list of things to try tho). Just mix it up mate and see what works for you just get out there mate I learn as mutch going out and blanking as when I get a couple of shots off. Everyo
  7. Try midnight until 2, thats when we see most rabbits and usualy in exposed positions away from the warrens, everywhere is differet, worth a try tho mate .atb. .ste.
  8. Nice shooting jd .atb. .ste. Thats it, im getting a 77 or a 95, I feel like im missing out on wey too mutch fun without a top class springer
  9. Dont know about the raider, sometimes multishot ultras have feed problems unless have been given extra tlc it seems, also has relitivly low shot count (have been proven to perform to very high standards in the right hands after a little tune and a reg from a certain gunsmith), cant go wrong with an aa in my opinion. Just one persons opinion Go with what feels good, as you have said if the s200 feels uncumfy after 2mins in the shop it would drive you mad after a while in the field. .atb. .ste.
  10. Nice one, im not allowed to dangle rabbits around in the house not after the mess I made last time . I have to have my own chopping board and everything lol 1 shot 1 kill thats the way to do it .atb. .ste.
  11. You wont have to save the earth, you can get quality pcp's second hand around the £300 - £400 mark. Air arms s400, s410, s200 Bsa ultra theres loads, also some word class springers out there for around the same price but it sounds like you have ruled it out. .atb. .ste.
  12. From my experiance all full power air rifles can take u.k quarry as long as you can shoot them properly, the cheaper ones also, altho you may find to acheve consistant accuracy you may just have to get a little closer than you would with a pricey one, practace on paper an find out the max range you can achive a 25mm group this should tell you at what range you and your rifle are capable of making clean kills Im sure others will also have advice on this. Happy hunting mate. .atb. .ste. If what hunter says Is correct and this rifle is not full power you will struggle to make clean kills
  13. Sory to hear that davy, hope it gets sorted in the near future so we can enjoy watching more of your shooting, knowing you I would say it will be sorted very soon Darryl I was in stiches reading that Sory davy but I am absolutely no help to you unless you need someone to hold a torch and pass you things while you work on it. .atb. .ste.
  14. Good thinking guys I like it Am looking forward to hear about your outings, keep the accidental discharges to a minimum lol .atb. .ste.
  15. Hey andy, just because you spelt humble wrong dosent mean you can get out of it on a technicality lol
  16. Great shooting lads, nice to see someone bagged up last nite DOH! , Great write up and quality pics as allways davy, the rat named bloodsvill did you do that one with the beyonette? Lol Hope to see you guys again soon. Rat burgers or rat on a stick today by any chance ?? Clinical shooting guys and a great service to the landowner .atb. .ste.
  17. Cool, glad its not just me who uses my house as a range then
  18. All as above mate, If I have to I just wash in water, then leave on the washing line for as long as possible until required through wind rain ect, you get the idea, I do have two sets tho (cheapy army surpluss nothing fancy) so having to weather one after a wash is not so mutch a problem, after last nite there is no green evident from the knee down and arms are caked up too, ill get a few more wears out of em yet .atb. .ste.
  19. Hey stevo where you shoot that group? if that was in your garden I am jelous, I have to lie down by the front door and shoot through the hall and living room out the patio doors (was going to say through patio doors but sounds like I dont bother to open them ) and to my back fence for my 20yrd range complete with backstop, obviously when im at home alone, on the plus side the neighbours know nothing about it lol .atb. .ste.
  20. 3" magnums and squeek her in Both barrels, Good grouping steveo that group will be shrinking rapidly mate when you Do it on a calm day, that is great when copeing with wind , shooting cans has green cridentials, why buy paper targets when you can recycle and reuse but that is beyond repair mate the three r's lol .atb. .ste.
  21. 100 miles, wouldent do it every week to beat aswel tho unless it was within 20 miles and I got a brace .atb. .ste.
  22. BLANKED! Lol, what can I say we put in the effort, just wasnt to be . The wind was a pain altho it did help to mask the squelchy ground, looks like someone has taken a j.c.b to a couple of warrens aswel and tryed to burn them out, we still saw about 15 but just couldent bag em up, they were offski lol, maybe a little unsettled from whats been going on. Nice one davy and andy, top shooting lads Will look forward to the write up darryl , good look to you and gary! Sory this thread dident make a good read but as im sure everyone here knows thats just the way it goes sometimes.
  23. Hey beddy its looking a bit thin on the ground tonite mate to be honest, but if you fancy a couple of bunnys and have perhaps some roost shooting on offer im all ears mate lol .atb. .ste.
  24. Alrite lads, just got to the permission a bit of wind but managable, zero'd at 30yds hit the lid of a juice shoot bottle (only thing to hand) 2 out of 2 times so good to go, steve has just re zerod from scratch in not ieal conditions but will have to do, just going for a mooch now, Order of the day is going to be getting close as possible and shooting between gusts (hopefully ) .atb. .ste. Dident press post on that mesage my bad, Well after a quick walk round we only saw 3 rabbits and due to squelchy ground couldent get close enough for a shot. The car park has also been extende
  25. Nice one lads, keep us posted on you outing tonite It looks great, did you see any signs of bugz on your reccy? .atb. .ste.
