    No all the trout we target are wild & found in wild rivers ,the season on most waters either starts on the Ist October & runs till April or May or runs right though to the 30th of September, so some waters are open all year round . We buy one licence for about 60 pounds & off you go ,no waters in NZ ,that has trout, is private .

    No problems at all but since those red snapper have big strong fin spikes running down from the head we just have some heavy duty rubber matting that we place over part of the tube where we land any sea fish .The tubes outer coat is very tuff & I've never been worried about hooks ,you just got to be careful. This one has a new mec 30hp fitted on her so she flies .

    Lamprey eel ,I cant work out why when the brown had a 1/3 of the eel hanging out yet he still took a soft bait .

    yes ,great spotting Marcos ,he was 50% Airedale,25% Aussie Cattle 25% Greyhound ,a real tuff dog.

    While we have a flea its not the brown rabbit flea you guys have,and again no we don't have ticks so our small game animals are clean.The common flea can be found on dogs ? and in warm weather their numbers can build quickly if treatment isn't applied.

    Yes that sport is why both my knees require part replacement now ,but why save the body ,life is just the one ride, ,no return tickets given, so we should all go hard ,for as long as possible. While my dogs are allowed to target both rabbits and hares ,possums are off my list when dogging work. We have other better methods that deliver better results to both control & recover the possums for their valuable fur and meat for dog ? tucker. ,however the main reason I don't allow my dogs to hunt them is, the pack would go mad over them ,passing up all other game to hunt and kill a coon which

    Its a dangerous business . This big boar was living & roaming between a forestry block & a sheep & cattle station. He was at 130kgs one of the biggest boars I caught in 45 years of hunting .

    There is a saying in New Zealand ??, you can only kill em once ,and this has paned out as perdicted ,my totally tally was 20 rabbits on the trip before this latest visit ,this trip only netted 8 .A huge far cry from the 350 I was killing 3 years ago .

    While I knew there was at least one rabbit around this jungle I was surprised when the dogs located a total of 5 for the short time I was there .I've lightly started my pure lemon & white beagle Ziggy, she is pictured along side the latest & last beagle x terrier ,6 month old Polly who is one of the biggest of that cross I've ever bred .

    Sorry to hear that ,however Doug it comes with hunting .I also lost a good cut Hob a couple of weeks ago .I just looked forward & not back and went back to hunting a couple of Jill's who have the goods but hadn't been worked in a while .I'm expect it might take several outings to get them up to speed again but its better than having nothing & having to start again .

    I have a number of beagle x Foxy (type much like the JR,not fat with short legs)and have found that you get a great finding dog whith more catch than a straight beagle but no where as hard headed as a pure beagle. Mine either came out with brindle heads markings or tan .

    wow and here I thought the subject was a guy showing his new pup ,i got as far as page 9 when it went to running jesus knows what & where ,the best of the best ,then a change to the most suitable lamp ,so I skipped to page 22 and I see its back to the best of the best ,wont be beaten ,I saw it catch or a lad I know whos mothers brothers uncle third removed knew someone that owned a dog that took everything ,never missed ,fitted the back of the van to brusting 8 nights a week ..........?? oh I nearly forgot the sweet weed on page ......wtf
