hi all, and ditch, you'll remember i posted about the wood burning stove i picked up, well its all fitted in the shed, and a new ash pan made for it, ive had a few test fires in it, but only using kindling, so what wood will be best to use, to keep some form of fire/heat going

well, we picked up our chickens today, ended up taking 8 instead of the intended 6, as they had so many, dont look as bad as I expected, feather wise they are ok, I was expecting oven ready chicken look, I'll post some pictures tomorrow or monday, once they have settled in

how old is your hob? normally a hob comes into breeding condition, and stays that way, my hobs (4) all have humungous testicals (bollocks) on them, they dont appear and disappear on different days, even with the drop in tempreture,

so why have you not put your details up in the pinned topic, top of ferret section, titled owners with vasectamised hobs but meeting "close to you" is a bit slap dash, better if members can bring a jill to you, to go in with the hob for a few days not really something that can be done in a pub car park

your missing the connector hose, simply take it to your nearest gun shop, they should be able to help you out with the correct fitting one for your gun

we tend to get hole hoppers when we ring a warren with a longnet, as already advised, a way to stop this is to either run a small stop net across the inside of the circle, or/also, purse netting a few holes (every 5th one) within the longnetted area, this helps if they start hole hopping, as you get the chance of them backnetting themselves, also as already stated, we tend to put 6 to 7 ferts down, gets the rabbits panicking a lot more, start an equal amount of ferts, from opposite ends, rabbits can then hole hop, into the path of the oncoming ferts

the lack of replies could be numberous reasons firstly your location, no good me saying Ive got some in essex, because of the distance, or as keepers havent produced young yet, they may not want to count their chickens before they hatch, so to speak give it another month or two and maybe try asking again

the mk1 has a wheel, this should be numbered, although the numbers do wear off with age, you can get new wheel stickers from deben, click it on an wind it all the way around, thats your 15ft setting, as you walk around waving it, you should get the knocking noise as your pointing in the right direction, by passing the locator over the area that the ferret is in/under you can pinpoint where the spot it, then you start turning the wheel back, as the signal (knocking) gets to a point of dissapearing, you then read off the number,printed on the wheel, which gives you a depth in feet, as to how far
