  1. stick some batteries in it mate, and give it a go in the garden, you may find not having the pin point button makes it easier to use, chuck the collar up the garden, flick it onto locate mode, and see how it goes, once you get the led's at the lowest depth, then flick the switch to search (or is it the other way round, my minds gone blank ) that should then let you "home" in on it even more, to at least 6" by all means contact the seller and complain that he's mis-lead you on the description, as the pictured item is the newer version, ask for a good 25% refund, if he gives you no joy, t

  8. now that we have got to have a picture off, a polecat x jack russell
  9. great looking set up, I too would go with it raised up on a layer or two of bricks, otherwise the bottom will start rotting, even with preserve in a matter of years, you could still leave gaps in the brickwork as a drain away when hosing out,
  10. Im going to go with RABBIT
  11. well magpie number 3 was caught today, am keeping the first two as call birds, seperatly of course, so I can swop them over weekly, untill we get the full pack, have seen around 7 to 8, so a little way to go yet
  12. its worst doing pest control on the underground, we had what would have been a 10 minute job, spiking a girder against roosting pidgeons, we wanted to use a ladder with outriggers attached, plus 2 guys supporting the bottom just in case, but the c**t of a health and safety guy, said we needed a cantilever scaffold tower, which we had to hire in, plus me attend another bloody course to get the ticket to erect it, took over two nights to do a 10 minute job, they all want shooting in my opinion
  13. maybe someone making nettle wine
  14. oh dont worry jojo, the list is getting longer of known "pet" keepers who seem to know each other from other sites,
  15. I have 3 hobs that live together, 1 intact and 2 snipped, they may try shagging each other occassionally, but never fight, 2 are brothers the other is the intact outcross
  16. some of you may remember I was a guinea pig in making one of johnb's larsen traps via instructions, well I thought I did a good job with it, but on setting it the first week or so, saw nothing going near it, and so it stayed, bunged up on top of the ferret court well, since then, I have built another enclosure on the side of the chicken coupe, to hold a duck (cambell) and another chicken (silky) and today, the missus comented on how the magpie's were getting a bit to close, either stealing the chicken pellets, or trying for the young silky, so thought I'd give the larsen another go, s

    Broken tooth!

both me and my missus had bad teeth, me a fear on gas/injections as a kid, and her for being kicked in the mouth by a horse, I say we "had" bad teeth, as now we aint, she's pulled a few out at the back with pliers, a bottle of whiskey helps wonders, although saying that, I over came my fear of dentists, and have a great one now, I simple sat in his chair for the first time years ago, cupped my hand near his balls and told him, "you hurt me, I'll hurt you" he always makes sure my mouths numbed up before starting anything
  18. welcome mate, ask the same question in the trapping section, you'll get more response
  19. has to be boot leg golden virginia, live close to the docks, so would be silly to buy british, when french is half the price, have had the big cancer debate, but half my family that died from cancer, never smoked a ciggy in their lives, so sod it, we all got to die sometime

    ADV

sorry to hear that mate, not something any of us would want, but Im a little confused the vet is 99% sure its this ADV, but you/the vet has to search for a lab to do a post mortem/blood test, surely this would be done by the vet, secondly, from following the link that got put up and reading it, it says, once adv is in the system, there is nothing that can be done, so why is the vet pumping fluids and antibiotics into it
  21. well my kitts dont bite, so I must be doing ok, yup driod your right, each to there own way of keeping, although saying, look at it logically, dosent work to either party, those feeding 3 to 4 meals will think were "bar stewards" for not, and visa versa, and in answer to your question mate, no you wont get a warning, as its a disscussion, you recieved a warning for a petty argument with jojo and spoiling anothers post, end off, most people take a warning and get on with it, but if you want to keep bringing it up
  22. were going to get this argument until doomsday, and I'll duck as you through cups at me, because I still put it down to "pets" and workers, pet ferts are more likely to be fed umpteen meals daily, "workers" once a day/eve, this is not saying we care less for our ferts, if they are given ample food of a night, and some is removed the following morning, then they cant be starving, a few keepers on here, I wont mention names in case a lynch mob is formed, but some only feed 6 days out of 7 to those saying in horror that a weaned kitt is not an adult, your right, but in a wild state, would they f
  23. your saying "proven workers", mate, its a ferret, stick it down a hole and it will investigate, if you cant handle that many ferrets, fine, find them a home, but why take them in the first place if anything, keep the hobs and get rid of the jils, otherwise you'll be asking this question again in a years time
  24. Id say yes, as Ive been playing it yup, I have the wireless on the x box, but I still need a router on the pc, has anyone got an idea on makes/models etc,
