minshaws are different to collie cross
bigdaz replied to minshaw man's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
So are you saying minshaws are collie crosses but different from other collie crosses. -
Labour pretty much created a society where people were better off sitting on their arses rather than working. I'm not a gambling man, but I'd bet good money if you show me someone with six kids they'll be on benefits nine times out of ten, Why??, cos someone else is paying for them. If they had to feed and clothe them through their own sweat I'd also bet they wouldn't have as many. Withdraw child benefits, best contraception on the market.

Stick to facts mate, not your emotional view, main reason for not breeding is simply they have not proven themselves worthy to be bred from. Physically and emotionally there are no downsides as research has proved. Or perhaps you believe the old wives tale that a bitch bred from young won't attain her size and stature due to giving the goodness she should have had to her pups.Might be morally wrong but it doesn't mean they're not capable.
-
yes from what i no she was 12 mth when she had the pups but they were concived when she was 11mth and that is why they have not been rejesterd by the way what has this lot got 2 do whith darrens dog Hang on this breeder was sure his bitch was 12months ??? but turns out she was only 11 everone no's the age a bitch has to be to have kc papers and if he did not no at the time before they were born he would of when they popped out, i men he had 6-8 weeks ti find out.. soon as your pups pop out you get on to KC to get papaers sorted,,but then i'm thinking about a bitch been 4-6 year old

That's the problem now with charities and organisations created to help those in need, they're too top heavy with costs IE, directors, managers etc. I don't donate to any charities or causes now due to the fact your keeping some bigwig in a job rather than actually helping the people you thought you were donating to.

Even if it is uneconomical to have these centres what price can you put on the feeling of value and contributing given to the people working there, not to mention the feeling of belonging to something. I know in economies the books have to balance, but I'm damned sure there were other places where savings could be made, benefits to incomers, foriegn aid etc, the savings that could be made in those areas would more than cover the shortfall of looking after our own.

yea they look like they could, but not them 3/4 collie types of millets i think there be just dale dogs like hedz said. To be honest bigdaddy that Don has tracked wounded critters where 90% of dogs wouldn't even get let off the leash as the ground is so horrendous...your big flat land dogs wouldn't be worth a toss on it,lads have tried with their bull x's,saluki x's and all matter of crosses but with little reward..that Don has out scored ALL of them put together by atleast 20 to 1 lol..horses for courses it that old saying i think? See, that to me is where it all goes pear sh

So you were on a tight budget then. Belters mate.

If and it's a big if, your actually serious then it's not much of a ferret that misses a rabbit a nine week old kit ( cos that's what it is) manages to locate.
-
What age was the ferret that had been through the set.

they were bred for my own use and few friends Thirteen pups to home, you'd best get out and make more friends mate, atb.

tennis ball ha ha isit a pet And that post mate sums you up for the clown you are.

No guarantees in life Bunny as to the future, but I don't think acquiring two collie pups at 78 yrs of age is a great idea for anyone regardless of how fit they are at the moment.

My old dog was diagnosed with a heart murmer at a young age, fluid was going into his lungs when he exerted himself and he was run hard. I decided what was to be would be and continued as I was doing and he was run a damn sight harder than the majority of dogs. If he was going to go he would go doing what he loved best. He was still taking double numbers on the lamp at eleven and caught his last hare at twelve running with his daughter and eventually had to be pts at nearly sixteen because his back end gave out, his heart was still fine.

Dogs to my mind that should be able to do it, very possibly wrong, any well trained herding dog, any well trained gundog or any lurcher bred from the ones mentioned.

Now I see no reason to dock ferrets tails and this might even be a wind up, but in theory what's the difference docking ferrets as opposed to pups ??.
-
nobody is the knocking the pups, just the fact he joined just to advertise this is a hunting forum not a weekly advertising paper Aren't you the same guy on the Slovakian hound pups for sale saying you can't understand why people post if not interested ??. Try practising what you preach.

Thank Christ, I was beginning to think it was just me, the thread started off interesting, then got repetative (same photos popping up) then anyone questioning dogs abilities was labelled jealous. PP has put some game away that's for sure, a lot of other guys have to, nothing wrong with asking questions and discussion, it's not all about nice dog and blowing smoke up peoples arses.

Mines was the last of the old shape, I did hear a few people with the newer shape ( I think there was an engine difference as well) say they had problems.

For Sale Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer dog pups
bigdaz replied to stoaty1's topic in Working Dogs & Livestock
You could pick a well bred springer or lab up for half that price mate. not if you wanted a specific line from a certain breeder, and thats the thing with these pups there is only so many of these in the country. is simple really if you want one you will pay it because you wont get one anywhere else, if you dont want one its beyond me why anyone would bother to comment You never said specifics, you just said a well bred dog, I only pointed out you could buy a quality lab or springer for half the price. I never passed comment on the mans price, I agree it's up to the buyer to decid -

Bought a Navara new in 2001, sold it in 2011 with 90 000 miles all it got was serviced, tyres and a battery, still had the original exhaust. edited to add pads and shoes.

Collies/ Bedlington terriers and sundry other dogs have been bred to do totally different jobs to a lurcher for generations yet they are added and bring qualitys to a lurcher line. What do pointers bring?, leg, nose, stamina and to be honest compared to a lot of lurchers I've seen, brain. And aren't there pleanty of tried and tested, for generations, breeds that bring leg, nose stamina to the "Lurcher" table, such as Deerhound, Saluki, etc ? I'll ask again. What will a Pointer bring to the table that recognised breeds can't ?? Cheers. To be brutally honest with you mat
