  1. I've grovelled, ffs! Anyway, look; Three pages and still going strong. I do provide a quality thread!
  2. That's half the buzz of having birds and that mate swapping ideas and diffrent ways with like mined folk. Man who taught me was tight if I'm honest and wouldn't waste a pin if none was needed lol hence he only used a perch and nothing else lol I suppose I'm a bit tight as well mate, I don't buy doweling, I rip up lenghts of wood with the handsaw then roughly plane it with a block plane, like yourself I prefer to use dowel type perches in the cages and natural for the flights
  3. Hot meat >The pins are hammered into the dowel mate not on the back of the cage, just the way I do it
  4. I hardly think making a pin sized hole in the back of the cage is going to make alot of difference to how many mites you may/ may not get ffs
  5. lol, you're welcome mate, mind if you've got a hand plane do as I do and make you're own dowels from square scrap wood, doweling off the shelf can be expensive atb
  6. I'm a bit lost with this post to be honest lol however how I do it cut a groove on end of dowel using hand/ tenon saw and push wire into groove for the other end make small hole on the back of cage using bradawl, hammer a small sprig/ panel pin into other end of the dowel and push into the hole if you're breeding your birds remember to roughen the doweling so the birds don't slip when mating causing unfertile eggs, I use the teeth of a saw to roughen the dowel best pics I could find, hope this helps and good luck

  15. yeh not great white _+ tigers though , its the only thing you got no chance against, because they can hit you from any side +underneath you in shit street. any other animal you can either leg it or pick somthing up to hit it, but a shark you fecked mate Great whites will almost certainly be passing the coast of UK especially Cornwall/Devon. It's the perfect habitat for them and lots of food i.e. seals. They cought Great whites in the Bay of Biscay and the coast of France so they are there We also have Makos and Hammerheads which will attack humans rarely. I was in Oz years ago
