  5. aye my sal/grey used ot feck off now and again and I would find her in somebodys garden on the trampoline lol nice dogs
  6. How tall? 18 tts 25 lb Lovely, why do you think there is collie in? I would love something like a 3/4 whippet 1/4 collie (Or less) as my next dog. one or two folk have mentioned it lol, at first I didn,t want to believe it but they could be right, her general demeanor etc, I have always had collie types and I recon theres some in there, reading about other folks whippets she doesn,t seem typical, how much collie though would be anyones guess, she,s my first whippet/whippet type and I,m more than happy empty your inbox
  7. Nice looking animal, see the running dog in it. What's it's pace and agility like being only 1/4 running dog forget hares, not got the pace but what I will say as far as a mooching /ferreting/lamping dog I,ve no complaints, as tough as they come
  8. 1/2 collie, 1/4 bull, 1/4 grey pretty much schooled to the ferreting game, quite decent on the lamp as well around these parts, never been layed up ( touch wood ) strictly bunnys but would take to fox I would imagine, has some attitude
  9. aye you sound like you keep yourself to yourself
  10. wait untill the beginning of the season ferreting, let it grab a few netted bunnys lamping, walk up on a clapped bunny, give a wee hiss and slip the dug
  11. I like pictures I take the camera everytime I go out with the dogs, not to capture pics of bags but the wildlife generaly and of course the dogs, it gives you another aspect especialy during the summer months as for the likes of Andy posting pics, I can,t see the problem, any young un,s just starting in the dog game must find them fascinating, atb
  12. Having been a around bwra racing whippets my opion is that they are very fine built as they have to be, to get a big a dog that can run well as light as possible. This means they are not as robust as a kc working whippet in my opinion but i would think are much faster pound for pound. You could have a 21" bwra dog whippet running at 25/26lb a kc working type of that size would probably be over 30lb. I used to give my fathers racing dogs a run on the rabbits odd times but they were injury prone so he stopped me taking them out. Sounds daft but i think they are probably to fast and lightweight f

  14. You're right, 'Roxy ! I still go to the "dogs", (Whippet Racing), on a saturday morning, and get into arguments about 55lb, half x greyhounds being called Whippets !! My usual reposte is "there has been smaller Greyhounds won the Waterloo Cup " !! But I still love it; it's dedicated dog men and women breeding, training and racing outstanding dogs !! So fair play to them ! Cheers. can i add charti, not just the men and women but whole families grannies fed them, kids walked them etc. without a doubt it's the best family orientated sport bar none, a weekend at the championships or one of

  17. 1/4 Grey, mate Cheers. So it's not a whippet then You're correct, 'Von..... it's a "Non-Ped Racing Whippet"; registered with the British Whippet Racing Association. As I keep repeating; I'm a fan of both Ped and Non-Ped Whippets, and have seen both types work and race. I have never seen Boo run, but only heard good things about him ! Cheers. A question for you Chart as you,ve raised my interest and I know feckall about peds/non peds etc but can you register a 1st x grey/whip with the bwra ? They have recently changed the rules, and I'm sure someone like Bob,
