  1. Did the hot water work Atb j
  2. A teenage boy was delivering papers to an apartment house. While there, a stunning young woman came out of the apartment next to the mailboxes wearing only a robe. The boy smiled at the young woman and she started up a conversation with him. As they talked, her robe slipped open, and it was obvious that she had nothing else on. The poor kid broke into a sweat trying to maintain eye contact. After a few minutes of flirting, she placed her hand on his arm and said, "Let's go to my apartment, I hear someone coming." He followed her into her apartment; she closed the door and leaned against it

  7. I'm sure it is, it's just the mental thought of it really, as said, if a person was starving, you'd eat chicken and egg. Atb j

  9. Life is so differant now days. If we disciplined our children they way we were, it definitely would result in prision time, and rightly so in some cases. Also people of our age/generation, for the most part, that I know of, haven't turned out bad people, or alcoholics, drug abusers or unstable because of our hard up bringing ( still doesn't justify it) It seems you can, break a child these days, just by looking at them sternly, (exaggerated I know). That also is not a good thing for children either, been to soft abd easy going.Parents are afraid to say no for some reason.
  10. Peace ??? Bloody auto correct Atb j
  11. My father had no interest what so ever in hunting, therefore I wasn't allowed to either. Same with the bikes, I love motorbikes, he didn't, so wasn't to have one. I bought one, he found it, gave me a hiding and scraped the bike. Same with shooting, I went shooting with a friend, he went nuts. In the end I moved in with my grandmother when I was 14 or 15, safer option. Atb j
  12. I made my pace years ago with it. As you said, differant days Atb j
  13. Very well put. If you feel you have to beat your child, then you have failed as a parent. Hitting kids is so not right, or the answer. I never raided a finger to my kids. Roared on occasion, but that's all. Helped and encouraged them all the way. Didn't spoil them, but rewarded them. It paid off for them today Atb j
  14. Hard work was everything, and to have pride in your work as well, nothing half assed, or you'd pay dearly for it. I know a lot of it was hard, and wrong as well, but I can't help feel it made me a better person in some strange way. Hard to explain. Atb j
  15. I didnt know what psychological demons were till later in life. The only demons I knew about came out of the bible LOL. It just wasn't the physical beatings,, got over that fairly fast, it was the consent verble abuse that was the worst. Could never do right. Never praised or encouraged in any of my work or interests. Atb j
  16. Manners can an do bring a person along way in life. It's what make a person, Atb j
  17. Neither did I. I thought it was the done thing, normal for want of a better word. It's only as I got older I found out it wasn't. He had his own demons I suppose. It's just the was it was. Atb j
  18. This week in 1952 at the very least 4,000 people died from breathing difficulties, during a severe London smog. It could have been as much as 12,000. Heavy smog begins to hover over London, England, on December 4, 1952. It persists for five days, leading to the deaths. It was a Thursday afternoon when a high-pressure air mass stalled over the Thames River Valley. When cold air arrived suddenly from the west, the air over London became trapped in place. The problem was exacerbated by low temperatures, which caused residents to burn extra coal in their furnaces. The smoke, soot and su
  19. Mine was much the same, but he was violent, I took some beatings as a child and teenager, wasn't overly upset when he died Atb j
  20. And a lot of British people don't even know this took place, and that it was man made. But they picked themselves up, dusted off their rags and got on with it, no choice. On wards and up wards. Atb j
