  1. "for all the looneys on here"................................I am guessing you want every member to look at this thread, by the title :D
  2. Impressive video especially the porkers at the end. I have a Cold Steel Master Hunter that I have used for years, high carbon, but a real sharp edge. If you can get the genuine ones, they have the best steel around. imo
  3. It won't be your fault, some just don't work as well as others, especially if they haven't been worked before. It is unusual tho imo.
  4. Ask the landowner as they are the only person who will know who currently has permission. Written permission is only valid if it still has the consent. For example it is nothing to do with the expiry date of your ticket, so somebody who once had permission and has it listed on their ticket, may not actually have it in reality. If that makes sense.
  5. I am not sure, but it reads like it is just for the gun, and bird crime is treated pretty seriously.
  6. It's possible there are not any rabbits in the warren, have you bolted rabbits with the albino after trying the poley?
  7. Yes. If you have formed a syndicate that is evidence that you all have the intention of shooting on that land. (pending what you all say on interview of course!) Atb.
  8. That fine just relates to the illegal possession of a shotgun and not the killing of the swans.
  9. There is no rule, but the licensing department are not fools, and they will pick up on landowners who are allowing people to use their land as "an excuse" for getting a ticket.
  10. I've now git the Nikon Monarch 3, 4-16 x 42 on mine and I am very pleased with it. (it replaced the Bushnell banner 3-9 x 40). I took it out the other day for some fast plinking at 40mm firebird targets between -150 yards, and the clarity was great. I have used it endlessly in low light and with the lamp for Charlie and bunnies with no complaint.
  11. 15 years old I think, providing you have a certificate and permission to be on the land with a gun. atb
  12. Has Lyn any idea when it is to be published, when I spoke to him a couple of months ago he was still waiting to get some photos from OB
  13. If you like English architecture, there are some great castles to visit in North Wales:)
  14. That's not a nice thing to say about the Irish!
  15. Thats how it all started mate, individuals with foxhounds, that eventually discovered they did better running as a pack, but initially they were individual hounds, if I am not mistaken.
  16. Better still do as the welshmen do, get pissed and shag some sheep.lol
  17. The general guideline is that shot from a shotgun will travel about 300 metres, if that is any help.
  18. Thanks, no the vet didnt charge for anything the second time. It was a close call, and I think if it wasnt for the wife and kids getting all upset about it I think it would have ended differently. But......as it happened, it looks like it was the right choice, and luckily the vet was just down the road. It will hopefully get to star in a few more ferreting videos and enjoy the rest of its working life and retirement!
  19. It looks like it giving you the big finger in the top picture as its running off No threat obviously Great pictures, we hardly ever get them here, and know of only one pair that turned up in Saddleworth, recently.
  20. Took two of my jills to the vets to be speyed, a few days ago, operation went fine and I brought them home in the evening. The vets had used stiches this time, and in the past they had used skin glue. I checked them each few hours that evening before going to bed, and then again in the morning before going to work, everything seemed ok. On the way home from work, I get a phone call off the misses to say that one of them was bleeding badly from the stomach. At that stage I felt gutted as I knew that wouldnt be good, but when I got home about 15 minutes later I felt sick at what I saw.
