  1. The only thing I could find around the house exaxctly 33mm was one of the wifes potions!! It seems to fit ok but only leaves about 20mm of overlapping velcro, which seems to hold it tight. It wouldnt be hard to extend that by adding a further strip of velcro, or replacing the one already on, if you were not happy. The width of the top part of the mount is 27mm but is very flexible, being rubber. Hope this helps.
  2. Thats about 4mm wider than the P7. The rubber mount will stretch to fit it, but I am not sure if the velcro will be long enough or will need replacing. I will have a look around and try and find something a similar diameter.
  3. In England we don't have to put that notice on the traps yet, however I for one think it is quite a good idea, and may prevent some people from f#cking about with them.
  4. The simplest of scenes can make cracking pics!
  5. Thanks, Born hunter. Having now read that there is still nothing to worry about!!
  6. I only heard about this because on one of my permissions that I use larsens, the farmer told me about this case and seemed a little windy about the whole thing. I assured him that I work within the law and he is happy with that. I am still interested though as to the circs of this case, as the more knowledge you have, thyexe better prepared you are.
  7. I will take a photo of mine and stick some measurements on, and then you can work out if it will fit.
  8. The general licence mate, is the reason that gives you the legal right to shoot or trap any pest species named. Some people dont seem to realise that all birds are protected by law, but thankfully there are exemptions as long as certain criteria are met..........and no I am not an anti.
  9. I had heard about this but with no further info. What are the circs as he can trap to prevent damage to livestock or crops under the general licence. Obviously some part of the licence must not have been in place, was it just that part of the conditions were not met?
  10. The midges look like pellets from a scatter gun!! lol
  11. Not near a computer at minute, so I don't know if this will fit the p14, but I have the p7, with a velcro mount, that cost about 6 quid and does the job. When I get in I will see what diameter the p14 is, and see if it fits.
  12. I read a book a few years ago about sailing around the west coast of Scotland sometime last century. The author describes gunners diving beak first into the deck of the boat! True!
  13. Where was that taken Romany its excellent. I have managed a few flying shots of these fantastic birds at Ardnamurchan but never that close.
  14. Well done mate, you have captured the great red eyes of the dove.
  15. does it involve gin It's funny you should say that...........! A close up of bilberries and vodka would be closer to the mark this year!
  16. Great pics everybody, keep them coming they are giving me ideas.!
  17. They hold a decent amount of twine, but I also find them more comfortable in the hand.
  18. I like the loomis needle personally.
  19. They are all good, but the grasshopper is the best. Nice and sharp. Nothing wrong with your photography, I would be plased with that.
  20. I hadnt realised that the pupil of ferrets eyes, were horizontal, unlike a cats that are vertical. I'm guessing thats what I can see on this photo anyway. It is a close up, with flash of an albino ferret.
  21. show off 28g I think small bores are brilliant, I just wish more people would use them and then the cost of the carts might come down. Up here, and I'm sure its the same all over, I see really accomplished shots dropping grouse, pheasants pigeons etc, with this tiny shotgun....and they are not using heavy loads. I'm flighting pigeons at the moment and there is no percievable recoil when using 16-21g cartridges. a local keeper here i know used one all last season he held his own, well if the truths known........ you know what i mean, i shot with a 410 for a couple of seasons on the pigeo
