that's a good post mate as I have seen lads out with saluki types running on ground that a collie cross would be suited to and vise versa ...like the man said before you get your chosen cross look at the ground your planning on running it on first...

count yourself lucky gaz I have just got back in and all I have seen is 1 mink and a hare lol the weather is good but the game is shit around here now ....

to be honest im finding it hard to give enough work for one dog atm .. just got back in from lamping and its dead around here after 2 nights out all I have seen local is 1 fox 1 hare 1 mink ...haven't even seen any rabbits where a few years back there was a few knocking about .. so im going to have to start putting the miles in if I want some work for the bitch .... it is nice to have another dog as back up but I just couldn't justify another yet...

I was the same when younger out every week but just went off it tbh ,only ever drink now for a special occasion ...last time I even had a drop was about 18 months ago ...just cant cope with the hangover anymore lol

agree with you there, sniper looked a good dog aswell in the forley, knew how to use his gears yep another good dog too ...but lucky had the knack of making his hares look easy if you could call them easy... there must of been some great dogs run over the years who have been witnessed by the big names, wonder how they rated lucky with these other dogs ?

had a vid with hours of runs with lucky ,spinner, tina ...all great animals in there own right but lucky was a once in a lifetime dog imo surly must be the best male coursing dog to run on the fens...

worked on a house years ago with my brother whos a cheeky f****r and just asks put the kettle on love the woman says my mam will get you a some tea now lads ... 5 minutes later this real old woman comes wobbling out with the tea on a tray ...I look at her and theres the biggest boogy hanging off her nose lol.. she puts the tea down and when she stands up the boogy has gone ..drink up lads she said and stood watching us , mine went on the garden my brother drank his as I didn't tell him about the boogy lol to this day im sure my bro drank it ..and I will never ask for tea again lol
