  3. Try putting in dark for a month and play cd to him soon as ya take him out you will know

He will more than likely sing like a canary mate you need to play a cd to him ,I find putting him in the dark for 23 hrs a day with cd playing on repeat for a good 3 months works well when there young yours might be a little old now and still have some canary notes depends on what was around him until now

  9. I have red mosaics and golden mosaics or wise known as dimorphic canaries I have a few pairs which ya can have if ya get them collected mate will start ya of and decent birds offers there mate

  11. Pete I have over 50 dimorphic canaries bred them as we'll as the British for last 15years if ya need any info I'm willing to help to the best of my knowledge
  12. Keeping cocks and hens well apart at moment weather last year messed them up still to early for me don't usually pair up till march but last year paired in feb never again

Benefits from exterior nest pans are you will not disturb the birds half as much whilst checKing eggs or removing to replace with dummy eggs ,ringing and lot easier to clean around nest as pan is easily removed no good for natives as said a,leafy but brilliant for canaries and if I were you I'd have exterior pans worth the extra pound and easily cleaned and put away till following year

  21. Don.t get redpoles here pete, iv,e only moved about 3 miles and live on the edge of an estate. The guy next door has feeders up but i use white sunflower hearts find goldies leave the niger and eat the hearts better. But bullies there like hens teeth around here and in 7 years iv;e never seen one on a feeder, the neighbour said they have only just came but i have 2 pairs in a small temp aviary in the shed next to feeders and wondered if that;s what brought them in. As for goldies there always in abundance around here,and especially when the aviary is built and i get my 4 pairs back they call t
