  1. thanks mate. i think i'll have to wait untill xmas for one. I have a old handmade handle you can have if you want it and get yourself a thong as G.T.E. suggest's it might do until you get a new one.
  2. He make's some really nice whip's, got a new one at builth this year you might find it easier to carry a "ladies" whip if your hunting on foot, ther a bit smaller the the other's and light enough aswell bud
  3. It was yes!! by the time you buy what you need to make them and then sit down to assemble them properly it's far easier to find well made one's from a reliable supplier, that way you can be out and about on your land
  4. I just bought some from Woodja on here, the quality is really good, and at the price he does them for it's not worth the time to make them yourself
  5. Try Norma 58grain , very consistant and very, very accurate
  6. Marshman, yep,it should do, trouble is theres alot of "men with terrier's" but not many "terriermen"
  7. I only use mine for earth work and they have to be up to the grade, theres too many people who only have a few dig's a season and then think they have a good dog and then breed from sub-standard animals :censored: if genuine lad's were honest about their stock and gave them plenty of work they would soon see if thier dog's are proper digging stock
  8. I dont want to start "world war 3" but i have worked borders as well as my patt's for 30yrs and the borders that made the grade (DIGGING) have all started about 14 to 16 months old, in my experiance all this talk of "slow to enter" is rubbish!!!!!!!! If the dog want's to graft it is the same as any other working bred terrier
  9. You must be very, very good, cos looking at the times of your post's on here your not out on the estate much are you well i think you better get ready for a job offer from "Balmoral" as your the best man for the job :boogy: as much as i like your happy freindly posts i've got to go back out as i'm not as good as you young man
  10. Well young man, you've just proved your not a keeper, 84% return would be a record in this country and i hate to burst your bubble but your talking absolute shite, best thing you can do is think before you post anymore daft things on here and maybee lad's will give you another chance
  11. Your not doing yourself any favour's posting things like this if your a keeper on a commercial shoot that need's 3 of you there wont be much work for one or two terrier's, if you have load's of digging on there, you better hope your boss doesn't see this post or you will all get the sack for being useless at vermin control :icon_redface:
