  1. I found that very funny, the Mrs didn't
  2. Another vote for the Avon stuff. 10 x better than Jungle Formula, according to my brother a lot of forces personnel use it too.
  3. I used to have a 2.8i, as has been said I used to go looking for roundabouts when it rained, happy days. New one looks like a focus to me, probably a good car, wouldn't buy one.
  4. Must have been a leg shaker! One hell of a way to die.
  5. FFS gents, The guy is dead, killed an unarmed man and injured two others and you go on about a F'd up footballer! Time to consider the victims I think.

  7. I used to have a Jensen Interceptor until I moved here, had to get shut as coming down the track kept tearing the exhausts off. Gorgeous car but with a 7.2 V8 it had a serious drink problem. Mick.
  8. Cheers for the info Gents Could you explain what effect a 1/4 choke has v a 3/4 or indded no choke? Sorry for all the questions but I'm new to SG's. Thanks, Mick.
  9. Hi all, I understand that chokes effect the spread of shot but can somebody tellme if chokes are required for clays please and if so why? Cheers, Mick.
  10. Hi all, After a couple of sessions at the clays my Mrs wants to apply for her SGC then she can buy her own SG. I have a gun safe for both rifles and shotguns, question is would she need her own safe? I'm guessing she can't keep a SG in mine as she would then have access to rifles? Cheers, Mick.

  12. Hi all, I fancy a GSG-5 for plinking at the range, i've read accounts that say it's fitted with a sound mod and others that it's just a dummy. Could anybody tell me which is true? Thanks, Mick.
  13. Sorry for being dim but what is a "Practical Shotgun" for? Mick.
  14. Thanks Matt, I was just wondering if I could get a shottie for clays on my FAC but I guess not. Cheers, Mick.
  15. The form is confusing as it was set up to relate to rifles, hence the questions re amount of cartridges etc. and it's always better to make sure everythings correct otherwise delays are caused. With mine I just put "high capacity 12 bore shotgun" and purchased a Remington 11-87 that is set up for 5 shot, has an extension tube to make it an 8 shot, and also has an insert that turns it into a standard 3 shot. Having had a nightmare getting my local force to agree to mine for mammals, and having researched well into the surrounding legislation, I can confirm that there is nothing in law (firear
  16. ".22lr rifle he had as a very heavy large telescopic sighted sniper rifle" I thought the BBC prided itself on its level of professionalism, how can anybody mistake a .22LR as a sniper rifle?
  17. Ah that kind of blond model... Cheers Clint, going to have a drive up there on Tuesday. Mick.
  18. Thanks for that Jonathan, appreciate it.
  19. Cheers Ric, I'd read that the recoil was pretty severe, just thought I'd ask. Thanks vey much mate, time to go shopping. Mick.
  20. Hi all, I fancy an old MK4 Enfield, does anybody on here own / use one? If so a couple of questions if you don't mind: When buying an old rifle how do I check that it's still in proof? Compared to something like a .44 Magnum what's the recoil like? Thanks very much, Mick.
